Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk membantu pelaku UMKM memahami teknik-teknik fotografi produk. Workshop ini dilakukan agar produk UMKM menampilkan detail dan fitur produk secara maksimal. Dampak dari kegiatan ini adalah pelaku UMKM mendapatkan pemahaman bagimana fotografi yang baik sehingga tau teknik pencahayaan, dan komposisi penggunaan kamera yang dapat menghasilkan foto berkualitas tinggi. Cara yang dilakukan Tim PPK Ormawa dengan melakukan tatap muka. Harapan terlaksananya Tim PPK Ormawa adalah semakin besarnya minat para pelaku UMKM dalam keterampilan fotografi yang meningkatkan daya tarik visual bagi konsumen.

Abstract

The training and mentoring program on modern okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) cultivation was conducted in Sialangmunggu Village, Tuah Madani District, Pekanbaru City, to enhance the knowledge and skills of local communities who still relied on traditional farming methods. The program focused on the selection of superior seeds, proper land management, effective planting techniques, and pest and disease control, which were delivered to women farmer groups and local residents. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of the importance of using quality seeds, appropriate land preparation, and effective pest management strategies, enabling the community to apply modern and efficient okra cultivation practices to support sustainable agricultural productivity

Abstract

A Farmer Group is a group of farmers/livestock breeders/planters formed on the basis of shared interests, shared environmental conditions (social, economic, resources) and familiarity to improve and develop members' businesses. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an understanding of the importance of planning, financial management, bookkeeping, calculating COGS, and net profit in a farmer group business. The community service activity is carried out in the form of training. The method used is the Chair of the Association contacts Agricultural Extension Workers and Gapoktani Supervisors. Then, the Agricultural Extension Workers and Supervisors contact and send invitations to farmer group members to attend training provided by the Accounting Department Association Team, FEB, Lancang Kuning University. The technical implementation of community service activities is by providing extension materials followed by discussions and questions and answers as well as simulations of cases faced by members of the women farmer group. The results of the community service implementation show that members of the Women Farmer Group gain an understanding of the importance of calculating COGS and business profits for the sustainability of their businesses.
