Abstract

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health problems experienced by generation Z. Acoustic music therapy is an alternative therapy that can be used to treat anxiety. This study aims to examine the effect of acoustic music therapy in overcoming anxiety in generation Z in Purwakarta Regency, Indonesia. This research uses a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 60 people, who were divided into two groups, namely the acoustic music therapy group (30 people) and the control group (30 people). The acoustic music therapy group was given acoustic music therapy for 8 weeks, while the control group was not given any therapy. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the acoustic music therapy group and the control group in terms of anxiety levels. The acoustic music therapy group experienced a greater reduction in anxiety levels than the control group. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that acoustic music therapy is effective in overcoming anxiety in generation Z.

Abstract

The reproductive health of adolescent girls is prone to disruption due to lifestyle, stress, and lack of understanding of menstrual health. Herbal plants are widely used as an alternative to help with hormonal balance and address menstrual cycle disorders. To determine the effect of herbal plant consumption on improving reproductive health in adolescent girls. Pre-experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest approach. Sample: 30 students of SMK Bhakti Asih who met the inclusion criteria. Intervention: consumption of herbal plants (e.g., sour turmeric, red ginger, and temulawak) for 4 weeks. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests. The[A1] average reproductive health score increased significantly (p < 0.05). The majority of respondents experienced improvements in the menstrual cycle, decreased dysmenorrhea, and increased knowledge about reproductive health. Consumption of herbal plants is effective in improving reproductive health in adolescent girls. It is recommended that schools provide education and assistance in herbal consumption.

Abstract

Effleurage massage has several potential benefits that may help reduce symptoms of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls, such as increasing blood circulation to the abdominal area, relieving muscle tension, and promoting relaxation. This study aims to determine the effect of effleurage massage on reducing dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls in Sukarama Village, Cianjur Regency, Indonesia. This study is experimental research with a pre and post-test approach. This study uses primary data obtained from direct observation of respondents. A total of 30 research subjects took part in this study. This study shows that massage effleurage intervention reduces pain intensity in dysmenorrhoea sufferers. There was a decrease in pain intensity after effleurage massage, and it was stated to be statistically different, p<0.05. In conclusion, effleurage massage has an effect on reducing dysmenorrhea in young women in Sukarama Village, Cianjur Regency, Indonesia.
