Abstract

This research aims to obtain knowledge regarding the influence of parental attention and learning motivation on the learning discipline of students in class x Financial Accounting at SMK Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar. This research is quantitative in type. The sampling technique used a probability sampling technique of 108 respondents. Data collection techniques use questionnaires. Instrument testing uses normality tests and reliability tests. The data analysis technique uses classical assumption tests, namely normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and hypothesis testing, namely multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, f-test and coefficient of determination. The results of this study state that: 1) Parental attention has a significant and influential effect on student learning discipline. This result can be seen in the t test where the t value of parental support (7.064) > t table value (1.65936). The significant value obtained by parental support was 0.000 <0.05. 2) learning motivation has a significant and influential effect on student learning outcomes. This result can be seen in the t test where the tcount value of learning motivation (3.441) > ttable value (1.65936). The significant value obtained is 0.001 <0.05, which means the variable is significant. 3) Parental attention and learning motivation together have a significant influence on student learning outcomes. This result can be seen in the F test where the Fcount value (38.006) > Ftable value (2.69). The R Square coefficient of determination test is known to be 0.420, which means that 42% of the variables of parental support and learning motivation influence learning outcomes and 58% are the influence of other variables not examined in this research.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain knowledge about the influence of teacher persuasive communication and parental support on student learning motivation in economics subjects of class XI students of SMA Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar. This type of research is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive data analysis approach with the testing media used being SPSS 21. The population in this study was 240 people. The sample collection technique used was 71 people. The sample collection technique used was cluster sampling (a method of taking representatives from each existing region/group). The data collection instruments used were observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. Hypothesis data collection techniques use multiple linear regression analysis, T Test, F Test and coefficient of determination (R2). The results of this study state that: 1) Teacher persuasive communication has an effect but is not significant on student learning motivation. This result can be seen in the t test where the t value of teacher persuasive communication (0.669) ˂ (1.990). The significant value obtained by teacher persuasive communication is 0.05. 2) Parental Support (2149) > (1990). The significant value obtained is 0.05 which means that the variable is significant. 3) Teacher persuasive communication and parental support together have an effect and are significant on student learning motivation. This result can be seen in the F test where the F value (2494) > Ftable (3.08). The R Square Determination Coefficient Test is known to be 0.068 which means that 0.068% of the teacher persuasive communication and parental support variables have an effect on student learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to gain knowledge about the effect of parental attention and learning discipline on learning outcomes in social studies class VIII SMP Negeri 12 Pematangsiantar. This research is quantitative in nature with the testing media used is SPSS 22. The population in this study were all students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 12 Pematangsiantar. The sampling technique used Simple Random Sampling as many as 72 respondents. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. Instrument tests use normality tests and reliability tests. Data analysis techniques use classical assumption tests, namely normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and hypothesis testing, namely multiple linear regression analysis, t test, f test, and coefficient of determination. The research data and data management of the partial test (t-test) show that the variable X₁ obtained -5.383 < the value of 1.66691 so it can be concluded that parental attention has a negative and significant effect on student learning outcomes. Variable X₂ obtained t count 3,177> value 1.66691 so it can be concluded that learning discipline has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes. Simultaneous test data management (f test) obtained that 14,689> 2.38 .
