Abstract

The Binjai Library has developed a technology-based information service system to improve service quality for the community. This study aims to audit the information service system of the Binjai Library using the COBIT 5 framework. Based on the analysis, it was found that the information system has not reached the expected target levels in all domains. The average maturity level calculation shows a score of 1.43 or 143%, which is classified as Fully Achieved. Key findings include the near alignment of human resources and IT capabilities with institutional needs, suboptimal innovation in services, and the need for improvement in HR management and communication. This study concludes that the Binjai Library needs to implement improvements and innovations to enhance the performance of the information system and service quality.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus and transmitted through the bite of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. In 2023, 48 cases of DHF were reported in the Kebun Lada Public Health Center area, reflecting a high incidence rate and limited medical resources in managing the cases. This situation emphasizes the need for an alternative solution that can support a fast and accurate diagnostic process. This study aims to develop an expert system for diagnosing DHF using the Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) method. CBR functions by comparing the symptoms experienced by patients with previous cases stored in the knowledge base, thereby producing relevant diagnostic recommendations. The proposed system is implemented as a web-based application using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database management system. The expected outcomes of this study are to assist medical personnel in reducing diagnostic time, improving the accuracy of decision-making, and increasing the effectiveness of health services in primary healthcare facilities. In addition, the system is designed to provide wider access for the community to recognize early symptoms of DHF, which can contribute to preventive actions and reduce the risk of severe complications. Thus, the developed expert system has the potential to become a practical solution to overcome the shortage of medical personnel and enhance public health awareness.

Abstract

Di era digital, instansi pemerintah seperti Dinas Pendidikan dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan komunikasi visual yang efektif guna meningkatkan pelayanan informasi publik. Namun, keterbatasan kompetensi desain grafis pada pegawai seringkali menjadi hambatan dalam mengelola media sosial instansi secara profesional. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan dan efektivitas program "Workshop Canva Kreatif" dalam membangun identitas visual yang menarik bagi pegawai Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan partisipatif dengan pendekatan learning by doing, yang meliputi tahap observasi, penyampaian materi interaktif, demonstrasi teknis, serta praktik langsung mandiri dengan pendampingan mahasiswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa melalui kolaborasi antara mahasiswa magang dan pihak instansi, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman pegawai mengenai prinsip dasar desain grafis dan pengoperasian platform Canva. Pegawai mampu menghasilkan produk visual seperti poster dan pamflet digital yang konsisten dengan identitas lembaga. Workshop ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan teknis pegawai, tetapi juga memperkuat kepercayaan diri mereka dalam memproduksi konten kreatif secara mandiri. Kesimpulannya, penguasaan alat desain instan seperti Canva merupakan solusi praktis bagi instansi publik untuk beradaptasi dengan kebutuhan komunikasi di era digital.
