Abstract

Islam has made it obligatory to fight aggressors according to the Qur'ān and Sunnah, as a means of preserving religion from extinction, protecting the soul from destruction, safeguarding the mind from corruption, defending honor from violation, preventing financial loss, and securing land from occupation. However, when Muslim leaders neglected this duty, it led to the domination of enemies over Muslim countries and the imposition of a secular lifestyle upon them. Therefore, it is crucial to dedicate a study to this topic in order to strengthen Muslims, encourage them to confront their enemies, and contribute to the victory of Islam and Muslims. This research seeks to extract the benefits of fighting enemies through verses 14 and 15 of Surah At-Tawbah and to examine their impact on the Battle of Al-ʼaqsā Flood (2023). The study employs inductive, deductive, and descriptive-analytical approaches. The study found the following results: (1) Fighting the enemies of Islam means deterring any attempt and thwarting any conspiracy that aims to destabilize the security of any Muslim country and threatens the lives of its residents, all for the sake of Allah, the Almighty; (2) Extracting six Quranic benefits of fighting enemies, including: killing the enemies, humiliating them, granting victory to the Muslims, experiencing the joy of victory, alleviating the Muslims' anger towards those who wronged them, and strengthening the Muslims' faith while correcting the beliefs of the disbelievers in the face of this victory; (3) All of these benefits were clearly evident during the Battle of Al-ʼaqsā Flood; (4) Extracting thirty benefits from the outcomes of the Battle of Al-ʼaqsā Flood. Moreover, these identified benefits and their application to the Battle of the Flood serve as a powerful motivation for Muslims to have strong faith in Allah, the Almighty, and to trust in His promise of victory over the enemies. They also provide a fundamental foundation for inspiring and encouraging Muslims to fight the aggressors until victory or martyrdom.

Abstract

. Modern studies have shown significant interest in the field of emotional intelligence, predominantly from a Western perspective, However, this concept has also received considerable attention in Qurʾānic guidance, which emphasize regulating emotions within oneself and others, Problem solving and effectively utilizing emotional intelligence to navigate one's environment. Hence, this research aims to extract a comprehensive definition of emotional intelligence and explore the dilemma of its Islamization, aligning with the comprehensive Qurʾānic perspective on life. This study employs the inductive approach to trace the concept of emotional intelligence among scholars in the West and the East, and then the analytical approach to analyse the problem of Islamizing emotional intelligence according to the Qur’anic vision. The study has yielded the following conclusions: (1) Developing a new definition of emotional intelligence: ‘the positive and effective feeling in this life towards the Creator, the soul, the others, the earth and the universe’; (2) Identifying shared elements between the Western and Islamic views of emotional intelligence in three domains: (a) Understanding and managing one's own emotions, (b) Understanding and coping with emotions of others and (c) adapting to new challenges and conditions in life; (3) Proposing two new domains of emotional intelligence based on Qurʾānic principles: (a) managing positive relationships with the Creator, and (b) managing positive interactions with divine laws. Furthermore, these findings highlight the synthesis between Western psychological perspectives and Islamic teachings on emotional intelligence, offering a comprehensive understanding rooted in the Qurʾānic worldview

Abstract

Allāh Almighty has sent down the noble Qur’ān to be a guidance and a way of life for all mankind, and He has enacted in its rules and commandments that are used to preserve the religion, Life, Intellect, Lineage, and Property. The problem of this research arises that some people are indifferent to the physical and psychological harm resulting from their consumption of forbidden foods. Hence, this research tries to shed light on the types of forbidden foods within the frame of Surat Al-Māʼidah for verses (3, 90, 95, 96) and find out their relation with the infection of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). To investigate this topic, this study uses the inductive, analytical and the deductive approaches. The findings presented in this article are the outcomes of a thematic analysis of Qur'ānic verses related to the forbidden foods. The study identifies five types of forbidden foods: (1) The slaughtering animals not in accordance with Sharia Law, (2) The uses and the drinking of the fresh blood, (3) The consumption of any product contains any element of Pork, (4) All Alcoholic beverages and (5) Any scarified animals not meant to Allāh Almighty. Besides, it comes to conclude that many physical diseases and psychological disorders stem from the consumption of forbidden foods; such as a weak immune system, high or low blood pressure, cancer, liver damage, kidney problems, high cholesterol, psychological problems, depression, despair, anxiety, stress, and so forth. Therefore, this study will contribute to revealing the high positive relationship between diseases resulting from consuming forbidden foods and the grave cases of people infected with Covid-19. Finally, it suggests to spread more awareness towards the Ḥalāl logo in Muslim communities and around the world; to maintain the use of Ḥalāl food, which is in the interest of oneself and society.
