Abstract

This community service programme aims to address the issue of cattle waste in Cihonje Village, Gumelar District, which has so far been underutilised and causes environmental pollution. The activities are carried out in collaboration with the Tunas Mukti Livestock Group through the application of Screw Press Dung technology as a solution to convert waste into high-value organic fertiliser. The implementation method consists of four main stages: preparation, execution, monitoring and evaluation, and sustainability of the activities. The results of the service show significant improvements in waste processing efficiency, product quality, and community welfare. Organic fertiliser production increased up to 450 kg per month, processing time was reduced from 12 hours to 3 hours, and moisture content decreased by up to 20%. Economically, the group's income rose with an average sale of 25 sacks of fertiliser per month valued at Rp625,000. Additionally, this activity creates new job opportunities and raises public awareness of the importance of a circular economy. The implementation of the Screw Press Dung not only addresses environmental issues but also strengthens the village's economic independence through sustainable management of local resources.
