Abstract

The development of the increasingly competitive manufacturing industry requires efficiency in various operational aspects, particularly in production costs. One significant cost component is Material Handling Costs (MHC), which can account for 30-75% of total production costs. PT XYZ, engaged in the clamp manufacturing industry, faces challenges in optimizing material handling costs. This investigation employs the Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Technique (CRAFT) to analyze and optimize MHC. The analysis results indicate that the total MHC at PT XYZ amounts to Rp 20,786,000, with the largest contribution coming from the material transfer between the Assembly Department and Quality Control. The considerable transfer distance and high transfer frequency are the main factors influencing material handling costs. The CRAFT method provides a comprehensive overview of material flow and transfer costs, that can serve as a basis for future facility layout optimization.

Abstract

Rumah Keju Jogja (KEJUGJA) is a cheese producer that requires approximately 1,200 liters of milk per month to produce its cheese. The whey waste generated during the cheese production process, amounting to 960–1,080 liters, is often discarded without optimal utilization, despite containing valuable nutrients. This study employs the Taguchi parameters to identify issues in whey waste management and process it into high-quality and financially viable yogurt. The method applied is the Taguchi Design of Experiments using an orthogonal array (OA) L9 to determine the optimal combination of factors affecting yogurt quality, namely milk, whey, and yogurt starter. The results of the Taguchi Design of Experiments indicate that the best combination for taste is 200 ml of milk, 200 ml of whey, and 20 g of yogurt starter, while for texture and thickness, the optimal combination is 300 ml of milk, 200 ml of whey, and 20 g of yogurt starter. The analysis of variance (ANOVA), conducted with α=0.05 and an f-table value of 5.14, reveals that no factor significantly affects yogurt quality at a 95% confidence level. From a financial perspective, the analysis shows that this yogurt product is not only economically viable but also has the potential to generate a net profit of IDR 78,967 from producing 25 cups per day. The breakeven point (BEP) indicates that selling 143 units of yogurt per month covers operational costs of IDR 1,721,040, with an investment payback period of IDR 1,672,000 achieved in approximately seven weeks. These findings emphasize the importance of innovation in waste management to enhance the sustainability and profitability of local cheese production businesses

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of a work environment that supports employee health and wellness and human resource development on employee performance at PT Pusri Palembang. The research objectives are to assess the extent to which these factors influence employee performance and to provide actionable recommendations for improving workplace practices and employee development strategies. The research employs a quantitative research method with a multiple linear regression analysis approach to determine the relationship and significance of the variables. The population comprises all 1,692 permanent employees of PT Pusri Palembang. Using the proportional sampling method, a sample of 100 employees from various compartments led by Super Vice Presidents (SVPs) was selected. The findings reveal that both a supportive work environment and human resource development have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. The research suggests that leaders should recognize and reward employees delivering excellent results and provide appropriate training and resources, particularly for employees assigned roles misaligned with their education and skills.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an diturunkan oleh Allah SWT dengan berbahasa Arab dan tidak semua orang dengan mudah memahaminya. Dari sini dibutuhkan penafsiran. Al-Qur’an turun langsung ditafsirkan oleh Allah. Rasulullah SAW juga diberi tugas untuk menafsirkannya. Ketika Rasulullah SAW wafat, para sahabat mulai merujuk kepada ahli kitab (Yahudi dan Nasrani) yang telah muslim. Riwayat meraka dikenal dengan israiliyyat. Atensi mufassir sesudah tabi’in terhadap israiliyyat semakin besar. Lambat laun pengaruh israiliyyat ini sangat besar, hampir semua kitab tafsir memuatnya. Kisah-kisah israiliyyat yang banyak termuat dalam kitab-kitab tafsir memberikan pengaruh negatif terhadap akidah umat. Salah satu pengaruh negatif tersebut adalah peniadaan ¬ismah al-anbiya’. Oleh karena itu penulis meneliti riwayat-riwayat tersebut dalam al-jami’ li ahkam al-Qur’an karya al-Qurtubi. Kemudian penelitian kami arahkan kepada sanad dan penafsiran yang sesuai dengan syari’at Islam. Hal itu dengan tujuan agar kita mengetahui riwayat-riwayat israiliyyat dalam kisah para Nabi, keadaan sanad dan penafsiran yang sesuai dengan syari’at Islam. Metode penggalian data yang digunakan adalah metode kepustakaan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan sejarah dan kritik sanad. Sedangkan metode analisanya adalah analisa riwayat israiliyyat baik yang menyangkut sanad dan matannya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa terdapat riwayat-riwayat dalam kisah para Nabi yang tampak bertentangan dengan syari’at Islam. Diantaranya kisah Nabi Adam AS, Yusuf AS, Daud AS, Sulaiman AS dan Muhammad SAW. Riwayat-riwayat tersebut jika dilihat dari sisi sanadnya merupakan riwayat israiliyyat yang tidak bisa diterima.
