Abstract

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most prevalent form of liver cancer, and its incidence and mortality have been steadily increasing in recent decades. Numerous studies have shown that individuals with type 2 diabetes are more likely to develop HCC. This systematic review aims to evaluate the association regarding the role of diabetes in the development and progression of HCC based on literatures of the last decade. Methods: The study followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines, reviewing English-language publications from 2014 to 2024. Editorials, duplicate reviews from the same journal, and papers lacking a DOI were excluded. The literature search was conducted using PubMed, SagePub, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar. Result: A total of 2,172 articles were initially identified through online databases (PubMed, SagePub, SpringerLink, and Google Scholar). After three rounds of screening, eight relevant studies were selected for full-text analysis. Conclusion: T2DM is a significant risk factor for HCC, especially with metabolic comorbidities. GLP-1RAs show promise in reducing this risk. Public health interventions are needed to improve diabetes management, and further research is essential to validate and explore these findings.

Abstract

Background: Pediatric systemic lupus erythematosus (pSLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease with an incidence of 0.3–0.9 per 100,000 children per year. Despite growing interest in RTX as a therapeutic option, its use in pSLE remains off-label, and its efficacy and safety have not been well established in this population. This systematic review aims to assess the effectiveness and safety of RTX in children with pSLE based on literatures of the last decade. Methods: The study followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines, reviewing English-language publications from 2015 to 2025. Conclusion: Rituximab is an effective and well-tolerated treatment for pediatric SLE, reducing disease activity, corticosteroid dependence, and flare-ups. While generally safe, monitoring for infusion reactions and hypogammaglobulinemia is crucial. Early administration may improve outcomes, highlighting its role in refractory pediatric SLE management.

Abstract

Background: The long-term consequences of head injury can vary widely depending on factors such as injury severity, repeated trauma, and pre-existing conditions. This systematic review aims to evaluate the diagnosis and management of head injuries based on literatures of the last decade. Methods: The study followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines, reviewing English-language publications from 2015 to 2025. Conclusion: Advancements in neuroimaging, biomarkers, and treatment strategies have improved the diagnosis and management of head injury. However, challenges remain in standardizing definitions, predicting long-term outcomes, and developing targeted interventions. Future research should focus on refining diagnostic criteria, expanding biomarker utility, and optimizing rehabilitation approaches to enhance patient outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the social capacity of Jabal Rahmah Setiabudi arisan women as a community-based stunting-free family mover. The approach used was descriptive quantitative, with a total of 30 respondents who were selected purposively. The instrument is a closed-ended questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale, covering five indicators of social capacity: participation in the community, knowledge about stunting, educational initiatives, community leadership, and collaboration with outsiders. The results of the analysis showed that the indicators of knowledge about stunting and participation in the community were in the high category, while educational initiatives were in the high and low category. The other two indicators, namely community leadership and collaboration with outside parties, are in the medium category. The average overall social capacity score is 3.52, including the high-low category. These findings show that the social capacity of arisan women is quite good and can be strengthened through community-based empowerment programs in a more targeted and sustainable manner.
