Abstract

Rapid technological developments have brought major transformation in the banking sector, especially in the aspect of digitalization of services. However, this progress is accompanied by big challenges, especially regarding the security of customers' personal data which is vulnerable to cyber threats. This article discusses various technologies used by banks to protect customer data, such as data encryption, fintech technology, and the implementation of cloud-based security systems. Apart from that, this article also discusses regulations governing personal data protection in Indonesia, such as Law no. 27 of 2022, as well as Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations. The research method used is normative juridical with a conceptual and technological approach. Even though various technologies have been implemented, various challenges remain. Therefore, the banking sector also needs to continue to improve its security system. This effort is expected to create a safer banking system and increase public trust in digital banking services.

Abstract

This writing explores the provision of legal aid assistance for individuals seeking a name change due to religious conversion, with a case study on the name change petition from Joanna Grace to Syifa Nur Cahya. It employs an empirical juridical approach, combining normative legal analysis with real-world practices observed in the field. The main focus lies in assessing the implementation and effectiveness of legal aid provided by legal aid institutions in ensuring access to justice for economically disadvantaged individuals. The findings reveal that although the assistance offered was limited in scope (non-litigation), the role of legal aid facilitators was essential in supporting administrative procedures, assisting with document preparation, and bridging communication between the client and a licensed advocate. The name change petition, classified as a voluntary legal matter, allows the court to grant a legal identity change based on valid reasons, including religious grounds. This writing highlights that legal aid functions not only as a formal legal mechanism but also as a social bridge that guarantees every citizen’s right to legal recognition and protection in accordance with their new identity

Abstract

The digitalization of banking has created opportunities for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Indonesia to access financing more easily and efficiently. Through digital banking services, the loan application and disbursement processes have become faster, thereby enhancing financial inclusion for UMKM. However, the implementation of this digitalization also faces various legal challenges, such as personal data protection, the security of electronic transactions, and regulations that are not yet fully adaptive to technological developments. Therefore, a comprehensive and flexible legal framework is needed to support the synergy between banking digitalization and UMKM, to ensure the optimal use of technology and legal protection for all parties involved.
