Pembacaan terhadap Markus 10: 46-52 tentang Yesus menyembuhkan Bartimeus dengan mengggunakan lensa tafsir naratif bertujuan untuk menemukan makna keberpihakan Yesus kepada kelompok termarginal. Alasan pemilihan teks Markus 10: 46-52 dikarenakan perikop yang memaparkan tentang kisah sehingga menarik untuk dilihat dengan menggunakan lensa naratif. Adapun rangkaian dalam tulisan ini terdiri dari pendahuluan, pembahasan dan kesimpulan. Pada bagian pembahasan, perikop dibagi dalam tiga adegan yang dianggap menjadi bagian penting dalam teks. Hasil-hasil pembacaan teks meliputi keberpihakan Yesus kepada termarginal atau menjadi “tongkat” dalam pelayanan Yesus, memperlihatkan sikap sebagai orang yang memerlukan bantuan, hal mengikut Yesus mesti menunjukkan ketulusan dan meyakini bahwa hanya dengan iman makas semua bisa terjadi.

AbstractThis study explores the integration of diakonia and pastoral care/counseling in the interpretation of Luke 10:25–37. The research employs Reader-Response Criticism (RRC) as its methodological framework, involving twenty-five students from Sekolah Tinggi Diakones HKBP Balige as participants. The aim of the study is to demonstrate that diakonia and pastoral counseling constitute two interrelated dimensions of practical theology. The findings reveal that the relationship between diakonia and pastoral care/counseling is exemplified in the Samaritan’s compassionate response expressed through concrete actions toward those in need. More specifically, the study underscores that both diakonia and pastoral care/counseling are realized through tangible acts of service rather than mere verbal expressions. An additional finding highlights the processual nature of care, in which the one being helped (the counselee) gradually attains independence and empowerment. Ultimately, such integration fosters a pastoral praxis that moves individuals from dependence to self-reliance, embodying the transformative essence of diakonia and pastoral care within the Christian community. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetengahkan integrasi diakonia dengan pendampingan/konseling pastoral dalam membaca Lukas 10:25-37. Metode yang dipergunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Reader Respons Critism (RRC) dengan melibatkan dua puluh lima orang mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Diakones HKBP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan bahwa diakonia dan konseling pastoral adalah dua bidang ilmu teologi praktika yang integral. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterkaitan antara diakonia dengan pendampingan/konseling pastoral dilihat ketika orang Samaria menolong dengan beralaskan belas kasih dan melalui tindakan nyata terhadap orang yang membutuhkan. Lebih jelasnya hendak ditekankan bahwa diakonia dan pendampingan/konseling pastoral diwujudnyatakan dengan bertindak secara langsung bukan hanya lewat kata-kata. Hal menarik lainnya yang memperlihatkan keterkaitan diakonia dan pendampingan/konseling pastoralyaitu adanya tahapan dalam tindakan pemedulian yang dilakukan. Dalam arti, konseli atau orang yang ditolong akan sampai kepada tahap memandirikan dan memberdayakan. Dengan demikian, tidak akan bergantung kepada konselor atau pelaku diakonia.

Pendampingan pastoral bagi pasien terminal illness merupakan aspek penting dalam perawatan holistik yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien. Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi pendampingan pastoral di RSU HKBP Balige dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap pasien, keluarga dan tim medis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pasien terminal illness menghadapi berbagai tantangan emosional, psikologis dan spiritual, termasuk kecemasan, ketakutan dan kesulitan menerima kenyataan tentang penyakit mereka. Tiga strategi utama yang efektif dalam pendampingan pastoral ditemukan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu pendekatan Pendekatan personalisasi dalam konseling pastoral, kehadiran yang bermakna dan empatik, pendampingan dalam perjalanan spritualitas pasien yang membantu pasien menemukan makna dalam penderitaan mereka. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa pasien yang menerima pendampingan konseling yang terstruktur mengalami peningkatan kedamaian batin dan kualitas hidup yang lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar RSU HKBP Balige memperkuat program perawatan pastiral dengan meningkatkan frekuensi sesi konseling, mengembangkan pelatihan bagi pendamping. Dengan demikian, pendampingan konseling yang efektif dapat memberikan manfaat besar bagi pasien dan keluarga mereka dalam menghadapi akhir kehidupan.

This article offers a model of pastoral counseling assistance for someone who is difficult to forgive and accept dark events. The model proposed in this paper is by building sympathetic relationships, assistance is carried out using the empty chair technicque and religious facilities. The type of research used in this paper is literature or literature study. The findings of this paper show that someone can forgive and accept dark events by imitating Jesus.

This study illustrates the urgency of sex education for adolescents. The method used in this study is a literature study. The results of this study are: sex education for teenager is very inportant but most of people misunderstood about it. Beside it, the teenegars also know sex education a little bit. Sex education aims to guide and caring for a person to understand the meaning purpose, function and of sex by providing information/ explanation of the physiological anatomy of human sexual / reproductive organs of humans that includes the genitals, as well as the dangers of venereal disease. Parents, schools, churches, and government should be responsible to educate the teenagers by given information about sex.

This article aims to examine the social experience of people living with HIV and AIDS (ODHA) through a socio-rhetoric interpretation of Mark 5:25-34. Using a socio-rhetoric approach, this article interprets the biblical text that tells the story of a woman who suffered bleeding for twelve years and was shunned by the community as a relevance of the experience of ODHA who are often marginalized and stigmatized. Findings show that the story reflects the social suffering experienced by ODHA and how Jesus modeled inclusive love and unconditional acceptance of marginalized individuals. This study proposes that ODHA can draw inspiration from this text to build an enthusiastic attitude in the healing process. The expected source of healing is the collaboration between the community and ODHA. The findings provide ethical insights in responding to the stigma against ODHA in Christian society.

This study discusses the assistance provided by the Social Services in Toba Regency to children who are victims of sexual violence. Toba Regency was chosen because of the increasing number of sexual violence cases, which has even been referred to as a red zone. The research technique in this review is a qualitative research method with a descriptive type. Based on field data, several causes of sexual violence were found and tended to be due to pornography and low economic status. The perpetrators stated that the freedom to access sexual videos or photos led them to practice it directly, targeting children. This is because children cannot fight back and refuse the requests of the adults who are the perpetrators. Meanwhile, low economic factors cause parents (mothers) to work outside the home more often as farmers, while fathers stay at home. Such circumstances also result in perpetrators of sexual violence being parents and close family members. In light of this situation, the Social Service in Toba Regency strives to provide assistance to victims and their families in various forms, ranging from visits and strengthening victims to accompanying them to court to prosecute perpetrators.
