Abstract

The cultural heritage dimension is one of the indicators of cultural development that is in line with the context of sustainable development. Cultural heritage cannot be separated from the context of archives as a memory that builds a new paradigm about the other side of archives. Archives as a documentary heritage that strengthens the values of Malay culture and Islam as an advantage of the Riau Islands in sustainable development. Archives have information and historical value that are used in determining the direction and goals of the development of the Riau Islands while adhering to the values of Malay religion and culture. Cultural issues illustrate the suboptimal development of a culture-based economy in the Riau Islands, ranging from limited infrastructure, regulatory and policy schemes, lack of community participation, to limited accessibility and information resources in the management of archives of cultural historical value. The purpose of this research is to build insight into archives in various dimensions, where archives are documentary heritage as well as a source of information in strengthening culture as one of the important elements is sustainable development. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with a data collection method in the form of a literature study. The results of the study show that archives have various dimensions that play a role in sustainable development, ranging from the existence of archives as cultural heritage, shaping regional identity and image, the backbone of management, to determining the direction of development.

Abstract

The United States (U.S.) leads at the forefront of modern archival innovation, while Indonesia advances digital transformation amidst the persistent influence of traditional approaches and conservative perspectives in conventional records management. The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in the U.S. and the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) play key roles. A balanced approach combining tradition and innovation is essential for navigating transitional challenges. This study aims to provide a comparative analysis of archival management practices between The United States’s NARA and Indonesia’s ANRI, examining the interplay of traditional approaches and digital innovation. Using a descriptive qualitative methodology and literature review, the research highlights NARA’s advanced digital archival system and ANRI’s developmental stage, where cultural, policy and infrastructure challenges persist. The findings underline the importance of integrating traditional principles with innovative solutions for sustainable archive management. As both nations navigate the complexities of technological advancement, they prioritize data security and privacy measures.

Abstract

For investors, a company’s value is reflected through share price performance. Meanwhile, the company’s financial performance and the company’s dividend decisions are considered to have an impact on the company’s value. This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, and company size on dividend policy and company value. The population used in this study is property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2020 with a sample of 78. The sample method used is purposive sampling using the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis approach. The conclusion of this study is that liquidity and company size positively affect dividend policy, while profitability doesn’t have a significant effect on dividend policy. Meanwhile, company size has a positive effect on company value, while liquidity has a negative effect on company value. Profitability and dividend policy don’t have a significant effect on the company’s value.
