Abstract

Parenting education is a fundamental knowledge for everyone to understand. Unfortunately parenting is still a topic that is rarely discussed, especially for those who stay in rural areas. Even though there are many mistakes in parenting styles that can very often happen to those, the low level of education and the lack of access provided by the government are the main reasons why parenting education is rarely accepted by villagers. This situation has a major influence on the low understanding of the community members of the knowledge of parenting. In addition, residents' understanding of the characteristics of child development is also very low. Providing facilities to carry out parenting seminars is one way to break this misunderstanding.

Abstract

This article provides a brief  description on how to conduct curriculum development in educational institution. This measure has a significant position in our educational system. Curriculum development is a comprehensive process for determining the needs of a group of learners and for developing the aims or objectives of a school. This is manifested in the form of subject structures, teaching methods, and materials, as well as the evaluation process. This community service was carried out directly by evaluating the existing curriculum. Curriculum development activities were conducted in two months. The curriculum was discussed with the teachers and revised and adapted to the needs of institution at at Binar Ilmu Boarding School, Cimenyan, Bandung. The Participants were all  teaching staff and all stakeholdrer school. This activities were caried out in three major stage. It was evaluating existing curriculum, revitalizing the existing curriculum and finishing. From those activities, it was produced the new curriculum of institution namely BIBS Curriculum.

Abstract

Language curriculum development is a comprehensive process for determining the needs of a group of learners in learning a language. That is why it is important to always check the appropriateness of the curriculum given by our government to be fit for our students. It can be manifested in the form of subject structures, teaching methods, and materials, This community service was carried out directly by evaluating the existing language curriculum from the government and also the local curriculum in school. The activities were conducted in one week at the beginning of the school year of 2023. The curriculum was discussed with the teachers and revised and adapted to the needs of the institution at Binar Ilmu Boarding School, Cimenyan, Bandung. The Participants were all teaching staff and all stakeholders school. These activities were carried out in three major stages. It was evaluating the existing curriculum, revitalizing the existing curriculum, and finishing. From those activities, it was produced the new curriculum of the institution namely BIBS Curriculum.
