Abstract

The research background: Handling pain during childbirth non-pharmacological methods such as, warm water compresses and cold compresses, breathing techniques, massage in the sacrum and cervical area, the use of the birth ball, and changes in position during labor and delivery companions. Warm compress techniques can maintain the components of the vascular system in a vasodilation state so that blood circulation to the pelvic muscles becomes homeostatic and can reduce anxiety and fear. The purpose of this study was to analyze the comparison of the effect of warm compresses with cold water compresses in reducing labor pain during the active phase I. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest posttest control group design with a total sample of 80 maternity mothers during the I active phase of primigravida. The study was conducted from July to September 2023. Sampling used a non-probability sampling technique by consecutive sampling so that 40 respondents of the intervention group (warm compress) and 40 respondents of the control group (cold water compress) were obtained. The analysis of respondents' characteristics was tested using the Statistical Test of Shapiro Wilk, the difference in pain scale scores using the Wilcoxon test. comparison of the differences in the mean of the two groups using the Mann Whitney test. The results showed that the Z value -2.763, P value 0.006 < 0.05, there is a difference in the effect of warm compresses with cold water compresses in reducing labor pain during the active phase I. The conclusion of this study is that warm compresses are better than cold water compresses in reducing labor pain during the Active phase I.

Abstract

Background: Mother's milk is useful as nutritional intake and also maintains the baby's body resistance. The problem that occurs is the irregularity of breast milk production in postpartum mothers. Purposed: To determine the effect of consuming green beans on increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers in PMB D, Bandung Regency in 2024. Methods: The research design uses a quasi experiment with a pretest posttest approach with control group design. A population of 30 people using a purposive sampling technique resulted in a sample of 15 people in the experimental group and 15 people in the control group. The research instrument used an observation sheet for breast milk expenditure. Data analysis was univariate with frequency distribution and bivariate using the Mann Whitney test. Results: Most breast milk production in postpartum mothers before consuming green beans was low (86.75%) and after consuming green beans most breast milk was abundant (73.3%). Breast milk production among postpartum mothers who did not consume green beans before the intervention was mostly insufficient breast milk (80%) and after the intervention most breast milk was sufficient (53.3%). There is a difference in breast milk production between postpartum mothers who consume green beans and those who do not consume green beans in PMB D (p-value 0.000 < 0.05). Conclusion: Consuming green beans can increase breast milk production in postpartum mothers

Abstract

Background: Perineal tear is a wound that often occurs during childbirth. Perineal tears occur in almost all first deliveries and are not uncommon in subsequent deliveries. Perineal tears cause discomfort during the puerperium and even one of the causes of respiratory infection. Efforts to prevent perineal tears have been carried out, including perineal massage. Objective : To determine the relationship between perineal massage and perineal tears in multigravida birth mothers Methods : The type of research used is a one group design posttest only approach. This study used multigravida term pregnant women (37 weeks to 40 weeks pregnant) with the interpretation of delivery during July - August 2022, which in previous deliveries and had a history of perineal tears in previous deliveries. Meanwhile, to find out the perineal tear after the mother gives birth or when the mother gives birth by looking at the partograph monitoring tool. Results : Based on the results of the t-test analysis on the data of perineal massage on perineal tears in maternity mothers, the p value (0.000) < from 0.05, these results indicate that there is a relationship between perineal massage and perineal tears in multigravida maternity women. Conclusion : There is a relationship between perineal massage and perineal tears in multigravida birth mothers. Suggestion: It is hoped that it can be implemented in a midwife's practice because the perineal massage technique has been tested by data analysis to minimize perineal tears in pregnant women

Abstract

Pregnancy is something that a woman will experience in her life cycle during reproduction, where a woman has a growing fetus in her vagina. The total maternal mortality rate (MMR) based on the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (SDKI) is 305 per 100,000 live births. The biggest cause of AKI is bleeding, where one of the factors causing the bleeding is anemia. One of the government's mainstay programs in the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women is the distribution of Fe tablets and consuming vitamins including vitamin C contained in citrus fruits. Keywords: Anemia, Citrus Fruits

Abstract

Background: According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the incidence of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in Indonesia ranges from 50% -75% in the first trimester or early pregnancy. Hyperemia can be reduced both pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can be used is herbal therapy using infusion of lemongrass, lime, ginger and honey. This non-pharmacological therapy is non-instructive, non- invasive, cheap, simple, effective and without adverse side effects. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of infusion of lemongrass, lime, ginger and honey on hyperemisis gravidarum in first trimester pregnant women at PMB I in 2023. Methodology: This Pre-Experimental Research uses a one group pretest post test design. The sample in this study consisted of 25 first trimester pregnant women who experienced hyperemisis gravidarum. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The research instrument, namely the PUQE-24 instrument sheet, is equipped with an observation questionnaire before and after being given a brew of lemongrass, lime, ginger and honey water, then the data will be analyzed using univariate and bivariate. Research Results: The results of the research show that consuming a brew of lemongrass, lime, ginger and honey for pregnant women in the first trimester has a significant effect on hyperemisis gravidarum, namely with a p-value = 0.000. This shows that the p-value is <0.05, which means H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. Conclusion: There is an effect of consuming infusions of lemongrass, lime, and ginger on reducing hyperemisis gravidarum in pregnant women in the first trimester Suggestion: It is hoped that pregnant women can consume infusions of lemongrass, lime, ginger and honey to reduce hyperemia in order to minimize the use of pharmacological drugs to relieve nausea and vomiting which have side effects on the body.
