Abstract

Tracer Study is a survey method to track alumni career trajectories, offering insights into workforce transition, competency application, and institutional connections. Universitas Dinamika (Undika) conducts this survey through a web-based application, Tracer Study Dinamika (Cerdik). However, its manual data backup process poses risks of data loss and service disruption. This study aims to design a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) using the Cold Site Disaster Recovery (Cold DR) approach for enhanced efficiency and data protection. A qualitative method involving interviews, observations, and literature reviews was employed. The resulting AWS Cloud-based DR architecture utilizes Elastic Disaster Recovery for automated data replication, ensuring up-to-date data and simplified recovery during system failures. With secure communication via VPN, Web Application Firewall (WAF) protection, and DR simulation for defining Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO), this cost-effective solution suits applications with longer recovery tolerance.

Abstract

The e-RES application is a solution designed to assist electric bike riders facing technical issues on the road. Utilizing mobile technology and a microservices-based architecture, this app enables riders to connect instantly with nearby technicians in real-time. This journal discusses the architecting process of e-RES, including system architecture design and preparation of essential diagrams such as a Use Case Diagram, Class Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Activity Diagram, and Entity Relationship Diagram.

Abstract

This research developed a prototype for an automatic water gate control system that integrates Internet of Things (IoT) technology with a Fuzzy Logic approach. The prototype is designed to monitor and regulate water levels in real-time using ultrasonic sensors connected to an IoT network. The water level data is integrated into Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud management. Fuzzy Logic was chosen to enhance the system's accuracy and responsiveness to dynamic and unpredictable water levels. The primary goal of this system is to minimize flood risk and ensure adequate water distribution across various sectors by automatically opening the water gates. In initial testing, the prototype successfully transmitted water level data from the sensors to the AWS cloud server and performed fuzzy calculations according to Fuzzy Logic formulas. The prototype demonstrated good results in managing the opening of the water gates based on the water levels detected by the ultrasonic sensors, showing significant potential for water resource management in urban areas through this system.
