Abstract

This research is a literature study research which aims to gain an understanding regarding social cognitive learning theory from various sources, research articles and several books. This research uses Moreno's book (2010) as the main data source and several other books and articles as complementary sources. The research results show that social cognitive learning theory is a theory developed by Albert Bandura, an American psychologist. Social cognitive learning theory emphasizes that learning can occur through a process of observation or what is known as observational learning. In this process, individuals learn by observing the behavior of others, understanding the consequences, and then imitating that behavior. Albert Bandura also emphasized modeling and the term triadic reciprocity to describe the interconnected interactions between an individual's environment, their personal beliefs, and the behavior they exhibit. The triadic concept of reciprocity proposed by Bandura can be implemented as an approach to classroom learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the very crucial issue of self-esteem which can have an impact on several important aspects of adolescent development. In the world of education, self-esteem is a very valuable basic asset. Respecting yourself appropriately is very important in order to make your education successful at school. Therefore, it is important for students to have high self-esteem. The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence performance feedback and social interactions have on students' self-esteem at Raudhatul Jannah High School, Payakumbuh City. This research is quantitative research with an associative type. The population in this study were students in class X and XI. Data processing techniques use data quality tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression methods, multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing with the help of SPSS26 software. The classical assumption test resulted that the data was normally distributed, there was no multicollinearity, and there were no symptoms of heteroscedasticity. The results of the t test on the performance feedback variable (X1) on self-esteem (Y) with a calculated t value of 2.425 > t table 1.979 has a positive direction and a significance value of 0.001 proves that there is a significant influence between performance feedback on self-esteem so that Ha1 is accepted. The results of the t test on the social interaction variable (X2) on self-esteem (Y) with a calculated t value of 3.130 > t table 1.979 has a positive direction and a significance value of 0.002 proves that there is a significant influence between social interaction on self-esteem so that Ha2 is accepted. The F test shows that the variables performance feedback (X1) and social interaction (X2) have a significant effect on self-esteem (Y) with a calculated f value of 10.428 > f table 3.07 and the correlation significance value obtained is 0.000 ˂ 0.005 so that Ha3 is accepted. The R2 value shows that the contribution of performance feedback and social interaction together to self-esteem is 0.146 (14.6%).
