Abstract

Being a country with the most Muslim population makes Indonesia a country with many mosques as places of worship. Which then gave rise to many Al-Qur'an Reading Gardens that stood in every mosque. One of the functions of the mosque is a means of education, both formal and non-formal. Since the time of the Prophet Muhammad, the mosque has not only functioned as a place of worship. The mosque functioned as a meeting room to gain knowledge and wisdom from the Prophet Muhammad. It is narrated that at the time of the Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet's Mosque, apart from being used as a place of worship, also functioned for the companions of the Prophet who did not have a place to live. Therefore, in this case, how is religious moderation in Arrohim Mosque and its application to TPQ children and the surrounding community? This is the main problem in this research whose answers can be found through a qualitative approach. For the purpose of collecting accurate data, researchers used interviews and direct observation techniques conducted at the Arrohim Mosque, Nampirejo Village, Batanghari District, East Lampung Regency. This study reveals several things, including that religious moderation in the Arrohim Mosque is going well and the existence of the mosque is able to raise the enthusiasm of the community and also the surrounding children to worship and get closer to the Almighty and to be more enthusiastic in learning Islam

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership strategy of madrasah heads in developing academic aspirations based on Islamic values in Private Aliyah Madrasahs. The focus of the research is directed at the efforts of madrasah heads in instilling Islamic spiritual values such as sincerity, trust, and ijtihad as the basis for the formation of an academic culture that is able to foster learning motivation, enthusiasm for achievement, and students' aspirations to continue their education to a higher level. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design at MAS Paradigma Palembang. The results of the study show that the leadership of madrasah heads plays an important role in building students' academic aspirations through three main strategies: (1) internalization of Islamic values in learning activities and exemplary; (2) the formation of a conducive and collaborative academic culture; and (3) providing academic motivation and rewards on an ongoing basis. This strategy has been proven to be able to foster students' awareness of the importance of education, increase their confidence, and strengthen their commitment to achievement. This research offers a new perspective in the study of Islamic educational leadership by emphasizing the role of Islamic value-based leadership as a transformative approach in shaping students' academic aspirations.

Abstract

This study examines how cultural intelligence shapes madrasah principals' leadership behaviour in Bengkulu Province in a multicultural educational context. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research explores how cultural intelligence influences decision-making and social interactions in the madrasah environment. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, as well as direct observations and document analysis to ensure a comprehensive understanding of leadership practices. The findings indicate that madrasah principals with high cultural intelligence foster inclusive school environments, enhance stakeholder communication, and develop policies that respect cultural diversity. Unlike previous studies focusing on general leadership models, this research highlights integrating local cultural values as a key factor in effective leadership within religious-based schools. These insights contribute to the literature by demonstrating how cultural intelligence can be systematically applied to improve leadership practices. The study also provides a practical perspective for developing training programs emphasizing cultural adaptability and inclusive decision-making in educational institutions.
