Abstract

This study aims to analyze trends in the use of augmented reality from tangible interfaces in the context of formal and informal education. This study employed a systematic literature review (SLR) method adapted from the PRISMA model. This research used the Publish or Perish application to search for various relevant scientific articles taken from international journals, Scopus, with a range of 2019-2023. The data analysis technique for this research used thematic analysis. The development of AR media showed significant improvement, especially in the aspect of increasingly realistic and diverse user interfaces, enabling closer integration with the curriculum and presenting more engaging learning experiences. The interactive and collaborative features of AR applications showed great potential for enhancing student interaction with learning materials through immersive and interactive visual experiences. In addition, such collaborative features could also facilitate cooperation between students, creating a more dynamic and effective learning environment in schools. This research emphasized the importance of using appropriate research methods to deepen the understanding of the development of AR media in education and the potential of AR applications in creating more interactive and collaborative learning experiences in school environments.

Abstract

The advancement of educational technology has driven innovation in the delivery of learning materials, including the development of biology e-modules at the high school level. This systematic literature review (SLR) aims to identify research trends, key topics, keywords, and collaboration patterns related to high school biology e-modules, as well as to map research gaps and future development directions. Articles were selected using the PRISMA method, followed by bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer, which revealed five main clusters: development of instructional materials based on PBL and HOTS, technology integration (AR, VR, Smart Apps, QR Codes), quality validation based on R&D, innovative learning models (PjBL, POGIL), and impact evaluation on student engagement and knowledge retention. The findings indicate that high school biology e-modules are not merely digital materials, but rather a multidisciplinary solution that integrates innovative pedagogy, technology, and contextualized content, including local wisdom such as the Baduy tribe's culture and environmental studies. Collaboration among biologists, educational technologists, and practitioners is essential to address implementation challenges and strengthen education quality. This study recommends the need for continuous development based on longitudinal research and inclusive implementation to ensure long-term impact in supporting education.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of PjBFL in improving 21st-century skills and identify interactive media that support its implementation through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The literature analyzed came from accredited journals indexed in the Scopus and Google Scholar databases, with a publication range of 2020–2024. The search keywords included "Project-Based Flipped Learning", "PjBFL", "flipped classroom", and "project-based learning". All articles found were selected using inclusion and exclusion criteria based on topic focus and full-text availability. The data selection and analysis process was carried out based on the PRISMA guidelines (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) which includes the stages of identification, screening, feasibility assessment, and reporting. The results of the analysis of 20 journals showed that PjBFL is effective in improving critical thinking skills, collaboration, creativity, problem solving, and learning motivation, especially at the higher education level. The interactive media that are predominantly used include Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning videos, e-modules, and digital communication applications. However, challenges such as low student engagement, student digital literacy and teacher readiness in producing digital content are still obstacles to implementation. Therefore, it is necessary to train educators, provide adequate digital infrastructure, and adapt content that is appropriate to the level of education and learning styles of students. This finding underlines the great potential of PjBFL in improving the effectiveness of learning in the digital era.
