Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Debt Equity Ratio (DER) and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) on Return on Equity (ROE) at Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk. This research method is a quantitative study with a descriptive approach that is carried out using a comparison of quantitative data in the form of financial statements. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS version 25 program. The results of this study indicate that partially the Debt to Equity Ratio variable has a significant effect on Return on Equity where the T-count is greater than the T-table (1.905> 1.859) and the significance value is smaller than 0.05 (0.098 <0.05). The Operating Expenses Operating Income variable has a significant effect on Return on Equity where the T-count is greater than the T-table (1.986> 1.859) and the significance value is smaller than 0.05 (0.087 <0.05). Based on the results of the F test, it shows that simultaneously Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Operating Expenses Operating Income (BOPO) where the F-count is (2.916) which is greater than the F-table of (4.12) and the significance (F-statistic) is 0.120 which is less than 0.005. Based on the determination coefficient value (R2) obtained a value of 1.05210, this explains that the presentation of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable is 45.50% and the remaining 54.50% is influenced by other variables outside this study.
