Abstract

Stroke is the world's second biggest cause of death after heart attacks. Ischemic stroke is caused by a blockage of blood vessels in the brain, resulting in a lack of oxygenated blood flow and the degeneration and death of brain tissue. This study aimed to determine the relationship between sleep quality and functional status of post-stroke patients at Mitra Medika Hospital Tanjung Mulia Medan. This is analytical survey research with cross sectional approach. The population of study was 126 respondents and the sample was determined using SPSS application obtained 56 respondents. The measurement of sleep quality used PSQI questionnaire and functional status using the Barthel index. Data analysis used pre-analysis, univariate and bivariate. The result of chi-square statistical test obtained that the P value was 0.009. Where the value was smaller than the α value of <0.05, then there was a relationship between sleep quality and functional status of post-stroke patients at Mitra Medika Hospital Medan. The results showed that 77.1% of respondents had poor sleep quality. 14.4% of respondents were in the category of moderate dependence functional status. The results of the analysis obtained a p value = 0.000 (<α=0.05) with a degree of relationship of 0.009. The study concluded that there is a significant relationship between sleep quality and functional status in post-stroke patients at Mitra Medika Hospital. It is suggested that the nursing profession increase sleep quality in post-stroke patients in order to accelerate functional status recovery.

Abstract

Fokus dari pelaksanaan PKM ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat khususnya kesehatan dalam melakukan dtentang Cara Perawataan manajemen stres dengan Pencegahan Penyakit Jantung. Sesuai permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra tersebut, upaya yang dilakukan antara lain: pelatihan kader dalam melakukan deteksi dini stres, edukasi tentang tentang Cara Perawataan manajemen stres dengan Pencegahan Penyakit Jantung dengan menggunakan manajemen stres serta demonstrasi cara melakukan manajemen  stres. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM  ini adalah mengajarkan peserta penyuluhan  tentang deteksi dini stres untuk meningkatkan kesehatan, khususnya kesehatan jiwa di masyarakat, tentang Cara Perawataan manajemen stres dengan Pencegahan Penyakit Jantung Selain itu terjadi sinergi antara kader, pelayanan kesehatan dan masyarakat dalam upaya pencegahanPenyakit jantung dengan menggunakan manajemen stres. Peserta dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini berjumlah 15 orang peserta . Kegiatan evaluasi ini meliputi apakah peserta sudah paham tentang materi yang diberikan dengan menanyakan kembali materi yang telah disampaikan dan meminta peserta untuk melakukan demonstrasi cara melakukan relaksasi nafas dalam dan hypnosis 5 jari untuk menurunkan stress sebagai upaya perawatan tentang Cara Perawataan manajemen stres dengan Pencegahan Penyakit Jantung

Abstract

A healthy life is a life that can be said to be a carefree life or living in a prosperous state, namely physical, psychological, social and spiritual health according to Law No. 23 of 1993 concerning Health, which states that health is a state of physical, mental and social well-being that makes life possible. socially and economically productive. Health must be seen as a unified whole consisting of physical, mental and social elements in which mental health is an integral part of health. Healthy living is also very influential, especially in teenagers. Routine activities for teenagers that support health and are carried out regularly by teenagers so that they are always in a healthy condition include thinking, emotions, movement and exercise, nutrition and social and spiritual aspects. Cultivating a healthy lifestyle will have an impact on reducing all causes of death and increasing lifespan and well-being. A healthy lifestyle culture will also provide the opportunity to be independent for longer in old age. Through good understanding, it is hoped that it can give birth to thoughts that motivate oneself to carry out activities that are good for health so that a culture of healthy living will support every daily activity among teenagers and support them in achieving achievements.It is important to monitor and evaluate the impact of these efforts periodically to ensure continued behavior change and improvements in the culture of healthy living in the school environment. Apart from that, collaboration between schools, parents and communities is key in creating an environment that supports the implementation of a healthy living culture among teenagers.
