Abstract

The PKM activity was carried out in Dalung, Badung, Bali. It adopts the use of reclaimed wood in furniture production. The background of this activity is that UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) face an obstacle in their efforts to manage the cost of production and increase product quality. High dependence on new wood raises production costs, and as a result, it confines profitability. The program was designed to enhance the operational skills of UMKM operators to process reclaimed wood efficiently for lower cost production and high-quality final products.Participatory approaches were applied, followed by technical training sessions and direct production assistance. The beneficiary activities included identification of problems within a specific context, practical training in techniques for processing reclaimed wood, and managerial skills that aim to improve efficiency in resource use. The activities involved three main stages: socialization and problem identification, technical training, and tutoring during the course of production. The results were fairly impressive: the reduction of production costs by 25-30% due to the use of reclaimed wood, improvement of technical skills of participants, and enhanced product quality to meet local consumer standards. The program promoted active involvement in the community as well, because the participants expressed great interest in the application of the techniques learned. The overall outcomes of PKM helped not only to empower local UMKM but also to train people in sustainable practices within the production of furniture. Therefore, it placed an emphasis on the use of local resources and on continuous training as a stimulus for grass-roots economic growth.

Abstract

Introduction: Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) serve as a natural solution for fulfilling family health needs. However, the knowledge and awareness of the PKK women regarding the benefits and cultivation of TOGA remain limited. Therefore, socialization and training are necessary to enhance their understanding and skills in utilizing TOGA effectively. Objective: This program aims to improve the knowledge and skills of PKK women in Dusun Pondok Purnawira in cultivating and utilizing TOGA as an alternative for family health maintenance and exploring its economic potential. Method: The activities were conducted through socialization and hands-on practice in the form of an interactive seminar. Participants were introduced to various types of TOGA, their benefits, and simple cultivation techniques using eco-friendly planting media. Educational materials were also shared via the PKK WhatsApp group to minimize paper waste and ensure easy access to information. Result: After the program, participants demonstrated increased knowledge about the benefits and cultivation of TOGA. They began implementing planting practices using recycled materials as planting media. Additionally, discussions emerged on utilizing TOGA not only for health purposes but also as an economic opportunity and home beautification. Conclusion: This program successfully enhanced the awareness and skills of PKK women in cultivating and utilizing TOGA. With accessible information and practical training, participants became more independent in meeting their family’s health needs while exploring the potential of TOGA as a business opportunity. The program's sustainability can be supported through follow-up training and the use of digital platforms for continuous education.

Abstract

Within any organization, the value of risk management depends on the level of organizational trust, the commitment, and the organizational core functions of financial viability. Still, for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), risk management assignments for the organization value are still seen functionally and technically. This neglects the management control systems from the behavioral and psychological aspects. Consequently, there is minimal scholarship that dissects the interrelations of the human component and organizational systems articulated for commitment and loyalty in the smaller business dimension. To fill this void, the current study utilizes the framing of Behavioral Risk Management Theory with Social Cognitive Theory to assess the relationship of risk management to organizational commitment with self-efficacy as a moderating variable. Quantitative data were acquired using a structured questionnaire and distributed to SME employees in the Bali Province. These data were analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). It was ascertained that risk management systems function and organizational commitment. Self-efficacy was identified as a significant antecedent influence on organizational commitment. Employees who advanced self-efficacy view risk management systems as organizational supports, access organizational structures, and perceive that organizational trust is extended to them, reinforcing commitment to the organization. This study delineates the need for GRM systems and incorporates psychological risk management systems. Subsequent studies may improve the model by adding variables like perceived organizational support, trust, and leadership style to better capture the human aspects of risk management in maintaining committed employees and resilient organizations.

Abstract

In today's digital era, influencer-marketing pervades consumers' perceptions and behavior—particularly in destinations such as Bali, where consumer culture online is intensifying with growing local digital subcultures. Follower tribes are frequently rife with toxic loyalty, where followers aggressively rush to the defense of influencers or brands even when there are obvious cases of ethics breaches or product failure. The current study examines the role of digital narcissism and the impact of flying monkey behavior—supporters who echo manipulative messages and suppress criticism—on irrational consumer loyalty. Despite increased emphasis on influencer power, there is sparse literature structurally capturing how narcissistic manipulation, mediated through flying monkey behavior, affects consumer behavior. This study bridges the gap by building a prediction model through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The data were collected from 200 social media users in Bali between 18 and 35 years old who were actively following domestic or national influencers. Measurement instruments were adapted from the Dark Triad Scale, relational aggression theory, and consumer susceptibility models. The findings indicate that digital narcissism highly predicts flying monkey behavior and irrational consumer loyalty, with flying monkey behavior partially mediating. The findings reveal the poisonous social dynamics that are codified within digital marketing ecosystems. Theoretically, this research bridges narcissistic communication theory and consumerism through a novel framework for exploring persuasive processes in online subcultures. In practice, it emphasizes the critically important need for ethical regulation of influencer communication and online community management. Following studies could assume longitudinal designs, investigate platform-based differences, or enlist biometric tools such as eye-tracking or sentiment analysis to expose deeper psychographic patterns. The present study also confirms the usefulness of subjecting the effects of digital communication power structures on loyalty, identity, and consumption in emerging digital society to critical examination.
