Abstract

Educational freedom in Indonesia faces significant challenges, including commercialization of education, unequal access, low quality of human resources, corruption, and economic conditions that limit access to quality education. Christian educational institutions play an essential role in realizing equal access and quality of education for all levels of society, regardless of social or economic background. Despite policies such as free education and infrastructure improvements, inequality remains a significant obstacle that has yet to be fully resolved. Strengthening collaboration between the government, church, and society is needed to overcome these obstacles, including strengthening Christian educational institutions' capacity, developing alternative education, and providing more inclusive financial support. These steps are expected to create a fair and equitable educational environment, allowing everyone to access quality education as a foundation for more inclusive and sustainable national development.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills enable every student to excel in digesting decisions in their daily lives. However, teachers are still not considered to provide space for each student to manage problems into solutions for the future. So the researchers here conducted research on how a teacher becomes a companion in learning through a problem solving method approach. This method of course uses a qualitative with a descriptive approach which is combined to see the depth of the data taken through journals and books. Therefore, it was found from the results of the research that a teacher can implement this problem solving method in learning Christian religious education through the values contained in the Bible, taking a problem that exists in the field, then discussing it to find a solution behind the problem contained in it. field.
