Abstract

Expository preaching is a type of preaching that is considered to promote the validation and inerrancy of the Bible. In accordance with the doctrine of inerrancy in the Bible, it explains the texts of the Truth of the past and this should also be applied to the partners in the 21st century. This means that biblical texts that claimed to be true in the past are still relevant today. Abstract

The Christian belief that salvation is found solely in Jesus Christ constitutes an essential theological foundation that must be upheld, even within a pluralistic society. Indonesia, as a multicultural nation, is characterized by religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity that shapes everyday social life. This context presents both challenges and opportunities for evangelism. On the one hand, evangelism is often perceived as a threat to interreligious harmony; on the other hand, it can serve as a means of contextual and peaceful Christian witness. This study aims to examine the concept and strategies of interfaith evangelism within a pluralistic society, emphasizing attitudes of tolerance and respect for differences. A qualitative descriptive approach is employed through a literature review and theological reflection. The findings indicate that interfaith evangelism can be practiced through interreligious dialogue, diaconal service, life testimony, and acts of love without generating social conflict. In conclusion, evangelism grounded in love and respect for diversity enables the Gospel to be presented in a relevant and responsible manner. The implications of this study encourage believers to live out their faith inclusively, promote social harmony, and embody God’s love within Indonesia’s religiously diverse society.
