Abstract

This research aims to explore the deep meaning of the Maena dance as a means of spreading the Gospel among the people of Nias. This research applies a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods. The research process began with a comprehensive literature study regarding Maena dance, Christianity in Nias, as well as studies related to performing arts as a communication medium. Through this step, the researcher seeks to gain a comprehensive understanding of the historical, social, cultural and theological context of the phenomenon under study. Maena Dance is a cultural heritage from Nias that is rich in traditional values, and also has great potential as a means of conveying the Gospel. Through a creative and contextual approach, Maena Dance has succeeded in integrating Christian symbols, Biblical values ​​and spiritual messages into its movements, costumes and poetry. In this way, Maena becomes an effective communication medium for conveying the Gospel message to the community, especially in environments that still value local traditions.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) brings change and development to society. ICT, which ultimately gave birth to social media, causes people's behavior and life patterns to experience a shift in existing culture, ethics and norms. Indonesia, which consists of millions of people and various racial, religious, ethnic and diverse cultures, has great potential opportunities for social change. Social media has a big influence and impact on a culture, both positive and negative. Especially for the Nias ethnic community, social media has influenced almost all existing aspects and fields. One of them is the culture and customs of the Nias tribe which have been influenced by social media. In this era of rapid progress, everyone can follow a style and lifestyle according to something that is considered trendy. This research uses a descriptive method - literature review using a phenomenological approach and reliable reference sources. On this occasion, the author tries to examine socio-cultural changes resulting from the impact and influence of social media on the Nias ethnic community.

Abstract

Obedience and loyalty are an inseparable integration in the life of a Christian. As a follower of Christ, these two personality traits are characteristics that must be possessed. This character was owned by a prophet named Hosea. The rise of infidelity and divorce, which is increasingly rampant at the moment, is attracting deep attention because Christian families are also falling into it. The head of the family plays a very important role in controlling and controlling the family. This research uses the method. In this article, the author uses the library study method, where this literature study is a study of ideas, concepts or theories originating from related literature sourced from books and journals that are recognized nationally and internationally using a hermenetic approach and phenomenology so that this method can help in analyzing and identifying scientific articles. This research examines how Hosea's obedience and loyalty are a reflection of faith for today's Christian family heads.

Abstract

This article explores the impact of ecumenism in Indonesia in the context of the increasingly widespread and complex development of the modern church. Ecumenicalism, as an ecumenical movement that prioritizes unity between Christian churches, plays a vital role in forming relations between denominations amidst the rich diversity that exists. In facing ever-changing social and political dynamics, churches in Indonesia are faced with various challenges in implementing their mission. However, behind these challenges, opportunities arise to unite in an effort to serve the community. In the midst of this reality, ecumenism opens up space for dialogue between denominations, emphasizing the importance of unity in diversity, social solidarity and the development of spirituality. With a multidimensional approach, churches in Indonesia are not only faced with internal issues, but are also expected to be able to make a more significant contribution in building a harmonious and inclusive society. This article concludes that ecumenicalism in Indonesia not only strengthens ties between churches, but also has a positive impact on social life and diversity in this country.
