Abstract

The development of a culinary recommendation system for the city of Solo through the utilization of collaborative filtering techniques is outlined in this investigation. This approach was selected based on its capacity to enhance user preferences through comparison with individuals sharing similar values. The dataset utilized in this study comprises feedback from users and evaluations of restaurants obtained from Google Maps. Collaborative filtering methodologies, particularly those centered on users, are employed to construct recommendation frameworks that offer personalized and pertinent advice to users. The initial phase of system development involved aggregating data from Google rankings and implementing a recommendation model. Findings from this research indicate that the system effectively delivers precise culinary suggestions, thereby facilitating users in discovering suitable dining options in Solo. The anticipated outcome of implementing this system is to bolster the promotion of local culinary specialties, enhance the culinary tourism experience, and contribute positively to the local economy of Solo. This study offers insights into the application of collaborative filtering and underscores the significance of recommendation technologies in enhancing the quality of culinary experiences and user satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to design and build a web-based employee attendance and payroll information system at CV Expressa to overcome problems arising from manual processes, such as late salaries, data recapitulation errors, and lack of transparency. The method used is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) waterfall model approach, which includes needs analysis, system design, implementation using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, testing with the blackbox method, and maintenance. The results of the study show that the system built is able to automate GPS-based attendance recording and salary calculations, accelerate data recapitulation, and provide independent payslip access for employees. This system also succeeded in increasing operational efficiency and data accuracy, as well as reducing administrative workload. However, this study has limitations in the scope of implementation which is still limited to one company and does not include advanced security features such as biometric authentication and mobile applications. Further development is recommended to improve the scalability and flexibility of the system.

Abstract

Karanganyar Regency has significant potential in the tourism sector, especially nature tourism. However, the abundance of destination choices often makes it difficult for tourists to determine places that match their preferences. Currently available information is general and cannot be tailored to the specific needs of each user, making the decision-making process less efficient. This research proposes a knowledge-base recommendation system designed to assist users in selecting tourist destinations in Karanganyar according to their preferences. This system utilizes five main attributes: category, location, ticket price, rating, and facilities. System development was carried out using the Waterfall method, which includes requirements analysis and system design stages. User input is processed by matching it against the tourism data knowledge base using specific rules, and similarity calculations are performed to measure the degree of resemblance between user preferences and available tourism data. Based on similarity calculation results for 10 nature tourism data points, the system successfully recommended a destination with the highest similarity value of 0.991, namely Bukit Mongkrang, which best matched the user's selected criteria. Bukit Mongkrang met the user's desired criteria, being located in Tawangmangu, classified as nature tourism, having a mid-range ticket price, a rating 0.2 higher than the user's preference, and providing key facilities sought by the user. The results of this knowledge-base recommendation system modeling can serve as a reference for developing similar systems in the tourism field.
