Abstract

Interface information still use the bulletin board to manual. Information should be printed in advance and attached to the bulletin board to be informed. This resulted in a the delay in the delivery of information because it is manual. In this study, will be designed based automated electronic information system Raspberry Pi. Information will be sent using the telecommunications network are displayed alternately in the form of a slideshow. The results show that the system created the device can display information using the Raspberry Pi. The information is displayed in the form of pictures and a slideshow format on the monitor remotely.

Abstract

Observation cameras have been widely applied in various sectors of human life. Cameras are widely used for offices, schools, hospitals, and other public services. They are functioned as security, vehicle traffic monitor, and observation of a certain area. The use of the cameras as an observation is not only used on land but can also be used at sea and air. Areas which are dominated by oceans need to apply the right and effective surveillance cameras. Through this study, the cameras are designed for underwater observation. The cameras used are IP cameras which enable to be operated for surveillance systems up to dozens of meters below sea level. Underwater observation cameras also use an independent power supply through solar panels. Data delivery from cameras which are on the bottom of sea to users who are on land using a Wireless system in the form of a router located on sea surface. With addition of other supporting devices i.e. camera housing, and a computer/ a laptop, this research produces effective and efficient observation cameras. The purpose of this research is to design a camera system which can monitor images/videos under the sea remotely wirelessly by using computer/smart phone.

Abstract

One of the factors that caused the ship accident was extreme weather conditions. The absence of a device that can provide real time weather information for port systems and the departure of inter-island vessel ships that make the voyage less secure. The purpose of this study is to provide information related to weather conditions such as current direction, current velocity, wind direction, wind speed and wave height to the ships captain and passenger ship. The toolkit consists of current velocity meter, wind speed gauge, current direction detection, wind direction detection and wave height meter. This inter-island information system device uses hall effect sensor and ultrasonic sensor. The sensor readings will be processed using Arduino Uno which is integrated with GSM Shield and then sent to the internet. Data residing on the internet will be monitored using Raspberry PI.

Abstract

The quality and the temperature of pond water is an important parameter that need to get attention in fish cultivation. Every type of fish has their own characteristic towards water condition and pond temperature.  The monitoring of water quality in cultivation pond is done manually and it takes a lot of time. The purpose of this research is to design web-based control system device and monitoring the quality of the water of fish cultivation pond including salinity, temperature and the hardness in real time using special application. This device design consists of salinity sensor, hardness sensor, and temperature sensor. Temperature can be controlled and monitored automatically on the application via computer/laptop. The result of this research is temperature drop by 0,1 oC on a 10 liters pond that takes 18 seconds, and to decrease the temperature of 1 oC takes 180 seconds (3 minutes). To raise the temperature of 0,1 oC takes 264 seconds or 4,4 minutes, and to raise the temperature of  1 oC takes 2640 seconds or 44 minutes. The percentage of error for sensor reading is ranged 2,4% - 3,9%.

Abstract

The live fish storege currently is not able to control the pH parameters of the water according to the fishs living environment. pH needs to be considered so that fish can survive. The purpose of this research is to design a system that can control the pH of water in fish hatch using a microcontroller and LabVIEW. The test is carried out on the hatch with dimensions of 90 cm x 65 cm x 50 cm. Monitoring changes in pH values in real time is done through LCD and LabVIEW. This device is equipped with an LED indicator that can indicate the condition of the relay outside of the LaBVIEW software. The difference in sensor readings designed with a standard measuring instrument is only around 0.05. The appearance process of the sensor reading value on the LCD and LabVIEW runs well with a response time reading of about 0.5 seconds and with a response time in controlling the relay about 0.3 seconds. Fish can survive using a control system designed during the testing process within 2x24 hours. The reading value from the sensor will be stored in real time as long as the LabVIEW software runs.

Abstract

The camera is a popular device and easy to find in every human activities nowadays. The camera is not only known in the world of photography to capture images and video, but more than that. The camera has been used monitoring device that helps human works easier, more effective and more efficient. The camera has been used for security, to monitoring a place, traffic monitoring and other similar function in various sectors of human activity. Even now, the camera has been integrated with computer system and other systems to create a sophisticated automation control and monitoring technology. The purpose of this research is to design an underwater monitoring camera system that can display good quality video of underwater objek which can be displayed and accessed via internet using Youtube application. The main component of this design consists high resolution waterproof camera, microtic device, and computer. The communiction media used to access the internet network of this device uses 3G/LTE cellular signal. This devise produces good quality underwater video. The farther the camera is placed in the sea, the less the lighting and it results blurred image and limited range of vision.
