Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe how the flipped classroom approach helped class XI students at SMA NEGERI 1 KISARAN enhance their procedural text writing skills for the 2023–2024 academic year. Classroom Action Research using a PTK Kemmis and McTaggart design is this kind of study. The four steps of the research process are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The process is organized like a cycle. Methods for gathering data that include testing, observation, and documenting. 23 SMA Negeri 1 Kisaran class XI students for the 2024/2025 school year served as the research subjects.The study's findings demonstrated that, of the 23 students who had finished their studies, 19 had obtained 80% learning completion in the pre-action tasks, while the other 4 had not yet finished their studies. Cycle 1: 9 students, or 39%, did not finish it, compared to 14 students, or 61%, who did. In cycle 2, eighty-nine pupils, or 83%, were complete. Four pupils, or 17 percent, had not finished. Based on this, it can be said that students in class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Kisaran can enhance their procedural text writing skills by implementing the flipped classroom approach in the 2024/2025 academic year

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam bahasa Inggris dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran terdiferensiasi di Kelas XI-6 SMA Negeri 1 Kisaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) melalui dua siklus yang melibatkan 32 siswa dengan berbagai tingkat kemampuan bahasa Inggris. Instruksi dibedakan berdasarkan kesiapan, minat, dan profil belajar siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes awal, tes akhir, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan yang konsisten dalam persentase siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Penguasaan Minimal (KKM), dari 43,75% pada tes awal menjadi 62,5% pada Siklus I dan 93,75% pada Siklus II. Skor N-Gain rata-rata mencapai 0,65, yang menunjukkan peningkatan sedang hingga tinggi. Siswa juga menunjukkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan kepercayaan diri yang lebih tinggi selama proses pembelajaran. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa instruksi terdiferensiasi efektif dalam meningkatkan prestasi bahasa Inggris dan menumbuhkan pembelajaran yang inklusif, berpusat pada siswa, dan lingkungan belajar yang memotivasi sejalan dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Oleh karena itu, model ini direkomendasikan untuk penerapan yang lebih luas, terutama di kelas EFL yang mengakomodasi beragam kebutuhan siswa.

Abstract

Colorectal cancer is the growth of malignant cells in the body on the surface of the intestine, starting from the growth of non-malignant cells, commonly called abenomas, which in their early stages form polyps (cells that grow very quickly). Chemotherapy treatment is one way to do chemotherapy. This treatment can cause anxiety in patients who will undergo it. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the knowledge of colon cancer patients and the level of anxiety in undergoing chemotherapy. This type of research uses correlation techniques (correlation study), with a total sample technique and the number of respondents is 64 respondents. data analysis using spearman test. The results of this study used the spearmen test and obtained the results. There is a significant relationship between knowledge of anxiety in patients undergoing chemotherapy in colon cancer patients in the Gb3a Inpatient Room, Murni Teguh Hospital, Medan, with the spearmen test results obtained 0.001 <0.005, meaning there is a significant relationship. to future researchers to make more samples and add other independent variables.
