Abstract

The car foglamp plays an important role, especially in foggy weather or when the road is covered in thick smoke. The foglamp, equipped with a cover, protects the lamp from scratches or cracks caused by dirt, gravel, or tree branches. Therefore, modifications are made to the foglamp cover to minimize these issues while also enhancing its aesthetic appeal to align with the vital function of the foglamp on four-wheeled vehicles. The method used in this study is Reverse Engineering, which includes four stages: 3D Scanning, CAD modeling, simulation analysis, and prototype creation using a 3D Printer. The simulation analysis results using CAE software show that the modified foglamp cover has better strength than the original product and a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Abstract

Honey is a food product produced by bees. Honey is obtained by separating the liquid honey from the beehive. At the Gubuk Lanceng Magelang farm, honey is still squeezed manually, which is squeezed by hand, so the honey obtained is not optimal and the propolis produced is irregular. The purpose of this study was to design a honey squeezer that could squeeze the hornet's nest while printing propolis into pieces by using a screw mechanism for the pressing process. The honey squeezer is made based on several criteria such as corrosion resistance, easy operation, easy cleaning, capable of printing propolis, and affordable prices for UMKM. The design includes the design and manufacture of components which include the frame, filter tube, container, turning lever, and pressure plate. The capacity of this tool itself is 4 kg. In testing the tool using a honeycomb weighing 300 grams and testing for 3 trials, the test results show that the honey squeezer can work better than hand squeezing. The test results show the efficiency of the honey squeezer is 45% compared to the hand squeeze which is only 29.5%. The resulting form of propolis also has the same shape and size as each other.

Abstract

An orthosis is a special device designed to support or improve body structure. In the case of flat feet, an orthosis helps support the arch, provide pressure damping, and increase stability, thereby reducing pain and discomfort. Flat foot is a foot deformity characterized by a lack of arch in the arch. A flat-foot orthotic insole is needed as one of the treatment therapies. The insole design is created using Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping methods and is made according to the specified design criteria. This flatfoot insole is custom-fitted to the patient's anatomical size and printed in Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) on a 3D printer. The result is a shoe insole that is flexible in design and practical in manufacturing.
