Personal protective equipment is equipment used to protect workers from injury or disease caused by contact with workplace hazards whether chemical, biological, radiation, physical, electrical, mechanical and others. Personal protective equipment is one form of effort to overcome work-related risks. In the world of work, the use of PPE is very necessary, especially in work environments that have potential dangers to work health and safety. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes and the use of personal protective equipment for spraying pesticides among PT Citra Mulia Perkasa oil palm farmers in Lampasio District, Tolitoli Regency.The type of research used is analytical research with a cross-sectional approach. The variables in this research are independent, namely farmers' knowledge and attitudes, while the dependent is the use of personal protective equipment. The data used is primary data and secondary data. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis using the Chi Scuare test. The population in this study was 200 and the sample consisted of 36 respondents.The results of the research show that there is a relationship between knowledge and the use of personal protective equipment with a p-value = 0.009 (p < 0.05) and there is a relationship between attitudes and the use of personal protective equipment with a p-value = 0.024 (p < 0.05 )The conclusion in this research is that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes and the use of personal protective equipment for spraying pesticides among oil palm farmers at PT. Mighty Noble Image. It is recommended for PT. Citra Mulia Perkasa in Lampasio District, Tolitoli Regency, always strives to provide equipment and supervision for palm oil employees so that they always use personal protective equipment to prevent work accidents and work-related diseases.
