Abstract

The garment industry, a cornerstone of Indonesia's economy, faces persistent challenges in efficiency and quality, as evidenced by PT. XYZ's struggles with uneven stitching, loose buttons, and stained fabric in daily workwear production. To address these issues, this study employs Lean Manufacturing principles integrated with the SQCDMPE framework. By utilizing tools like fishbone diagrams and SQCDMPE analysis, root causes of production inefficiencies were pinpointed. Recommendations include implementing stringent quality controls, enhancing worker training, and optimizing operational processes to minimize waste and improve overall efficiency. These strategies aim to streamline production at PT. XYZ, enhancing product quality and meeting customer demands effectively in the competitive global garment market.

Abstract

As part of the Indonesian National Police, one of the tasks of the Air Police is to support the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in preventing deforestation. With the available resources, the Air Police must be able to carry out their duties efficiently. This study measures the efficiency of the support performance of ten Air Police under the Control of the Regional Police covering ten provinces to prevent deforestation. Each operations control (OC) represents a Decision-Making Unit (DMU). Using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with the Banker, Charnes, Cooper (BCC) model, the results showed that two OCs (Bali and North Sulawesi) were identified as efficient, while eight OCs were inefficient.   Keywords - deforestation, efficiency, DEA, BCC, VRS

Abstract

Dalam upaya meningkatkan efisiensi proses bisnis produksi, perusahaan menghadapi tantangan berupa tingginya jumlah cacat roll letter mark pada mesin extruder small wire. Cacat ini berdampak negatif terhadap kualitas produk dan menimbulkan pemborosan biaya produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menurunkan jumlah cacat tersebut melalui penerapan metode Quality Control Circle (QCC) serta menganalisis efektivitas perbaikannya dari sisi cost reduction menggunakan uji Bootstrap Paired T-test. Metode QCC digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi akar penyebab, merancang solusi, dan mengimplementasikan tindakan korektif secara sistematis. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan data sebelum dan sesudah perbaikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan signifikan jumlah cacat roll letter mark setelah implementasi QCC, yang didukung oleh hasil uji statistik Bootstrap Paired T-test (p < 0,05). Selain peningkatan kualitas, analisis juga menunjukkan terjadinya penghematan biaya produksi secara nyata. Dengan demikian, integrasi QCC terbukti efektif dalam mengoptimalkan proses bisnis produksi dan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan QCC secara berkelanjutan sebagai bagian dari strategi peningkatan mutu dan efisiensi di lingkungan manufaktur.   Kata kunci – Quality Control Circle, Cost Reduction, Bootstrap Paired T-test
