PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TEMA 6 PADA IPS KELAS V SD NEGERI KEREO 05 CIPADU KOTA TANGERANG RACHMATIKA, RIDHA VIDIAH

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' problem solving skills in social studies subjects for class V through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) or Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Suharsimi Arikunto model which is carried out in 2 cycles. One cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research was conducted at SD Negeri Kereo 05 Cipadu, Tangerang City. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SD Negeri Kereo 05 Cipadu, Tangerang City, Academic Year 2021/2022 which consisted of 30 students. The action taken is to apply the Problem Based Learning learning model. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. The results of the study show that: (1) The application of the Problem Based Learning model has been implemented well. evidenced by the increase in the results of teacher activity research in the first cycle to get 50% to 80% in the second cycle. Likewise, the increase in student activity results obtained 40,6% in the first cycle to 78,1% in the second cycle. (2) The improvement of problem solving skills in social studies subjects has increased. It is proven by the value of the initial ability test (Pre Test) that the average score of students is 67,3 with a learning mastery of 36,7%, while the results of the score (Post Test) of students' problem solving skills are 68,1 with a learning mastery percentage of 43,3% in the first cycle, and increased to an average student score of 80,7 with a learning completeness percentage of 76,7% in the second cycle ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas V melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Classroom Action Research (CAR) atau Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menggunakan model Suharsimi Arikunto yang dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus. Pada satu siklus terdiri empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Kereo 05 Cipadu Kota Tangerang. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kereo 05 Cipadu Kota Tangerang Tahun Pelajaran 2021/2022 yang terdiri dari 30 siswa. Tindakan yang dilakukan adalah menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Penerapan model Problem Based Learning sudah diterapkan dengan baik. dibuktikan dengan peningkatan hasil penelitian aktivitas guru pada siklus I memperoleh 50% menjadi 80% pada siklus II. Demikian juga peningkatan hasil aktivitas siswa memperoleh 40,6% pada siklus I menjadi 78,1% pada siklus II. (2) Peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada mata pelajaran IPS mengalami peningkatan. Dibuktikan dengan nilai tes kemampuan awal (Pre Test) memperoleh nilai rata – rata siswa sebesar 67,3 dengan ketuntasan belajar 36,7%, sedangkan hasil nilai (Post Test) keterampilan memecahkan masalah siswa sebesar 68,1 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar 43,3% pada siklus I, dan meningkat menjadi nilai rata – rata siswa sebesar 80,7 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar 76,7% pada siklus II.
