Abstract

An This study explores the role of the director in producing the public service advertisement "Titik Pulang" for the Al-Qomariah Islamic Boarding School Foundation. The film aims to introduce moral values to a broader audience, emphasizing the importance of appreciating those around us, particularly family, to avoid regret in the future. Additionally, the film seeks to build a positive image of the Al-Qomariah Foundation as an institution dedicated to education and child protection while providing a safe environment for underprivileged children. The production process involved several stages, including developing the story concept, creating the synopsis, drafting the treatment, and writing the script. After the pre-production phase, the process continued with shooting and editing. As the director, the creator played a strategic role in translating creative ideas into visually communicative and meaningful forms. The director also supervised every detail of the production, ensuring that all elements supported the narrative and maintained the consistency of the conveyed message. The short film "Titik Pulang" was not only designed as an academic requirement to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies but also as an educational medium for society. Its moral message is expected to inspire audiences to appreciate family and their surroundings. Moreover, this work aligns with the vision of the Al-Qomariah Foundation in promoting education and child protection as efforts to build a sustainable society for the future

Abstract

Abstrak. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah mendorong masyarakat untuk semakin bergantung pada internet dalam memenuhi berbagai kebutuhan, termasuk kebutuhan akan informasi. Salah satu platform digital yang paling banyak digunakan adalah YouTube, yang penyebaran informasi secara audio-visual kepada khalayak luas. Di Indonesia, konten video otomotif menjadi salah satu jenis konten yang banyak diminati, terutama oleh Generasi Z. YouTube saat ini dimanfaatkan tidak hanya sebagai media hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai sumber informasi dan edukasi, termasuk dalam bidang otomotif. Konten otomotif di YouTube berkembang pesat dan menjadi referensi penting bagi penonton yang ingin memahami lebih dalam tentang kendaraan. Salah satu kreator konten otomotif yang populer di Indonesia adalah Ridwan Hanif, yang dikenal menyajikan informasi secara rinci, objektif, dan menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konten video otomotif Ridwan Hanif di YouTube terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi para subscriber. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode non-probability sampling dengan teknik convenience sampling, yang disebarkan kepada 100 responden. Adapun kriteria responden kriteria adalah pengguna YouTube aktif, mengikuti akun YouTube Ridwan Hanif, atau Subscriber kelahiran tahun 1997 sampai dengan tahun 2012 dengan usia 18-26 tahun. Pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner dengan menggunakan Google Form. Uji data dalam penelitian ini mengggunakan SPSS versi 29. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konten video otomotif di Youtube Ridwan Hanif memiliki pengaruh yang sangat kuat terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi subscriber dengan hasil 87,5%, sementara sisanya adalah 12,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini.Kata Kunci: Konten Otomotif, Kebutuhan Informasi, Ridwan Hanif, YouTube.

Abstract

Social conflict is a problem that often occurs in society. To prevent social conflicts, it is necessary to adopt the values of peace in everyday life. Peace Generation has identified 12 basic peace values that can be adopted by the younger generation in preventing social conflicts. This study aims to identify the values of peace adopted by the younger generation and how these values can be applied in everyday life to prevent social conflicts. The research method used is a survey through questionnaires distributed to the younger generation. The results showed that the younger generation realized the importance of peace values in preventing social conflicts. All the basic values of peace identified by the Peace Generation are adopted by the younger generation. However, there were differences in the level of adherence to these values between respondents. The results of this study show that the younger generation understands the values of peace that are important in preventing social conflicts. Therefore, policymakers and educators need to strengthen peace values education in education curricula and activities outside schools to strengthen young people's adherence to these values. Thus, it is hoped that social conflicts can be avoided and peace can be achieved in society.

Abstract

This work aims to introduce the short film advertisement "Titik Pulang" to the general public, with a focus on raising awareness about the importance of child protection. In addition, this work also aims to build a positive image for the Al-Qomariah Islamic Boarding School Foundation as an institution that cares about education and providing a safe environment for children. Through this advertisement, it is hoped that the public will be educated on the importance of education and child protection as a long-term investment for the nation's progress. Mass communication, especially through the medium of film, plays a strategic role in conveying social messages. *Titik Pulang* delivers a moral message about regret and the importance of making the right decisions in life. In this film project, the author serves as the cameraman. The cameraman plays a crucial role in film production, as they are responsible for capturing video footage according to the director's instructions, who has already designed the script. A cameraman not only needs technical skills to produce high-quality images but also a deep conceptual understanding to select the appropriate camera angles in accordance with the production context. By combining visual and audio elements, this film is designed to evoke emotions and raise awareness of human values. This public service advertisement aims to encourage a change in societal attitudes and behaviors toward social issues, particularly those related to child protection and education. The choice of the main character, Lanang—a motorcycle taxi driver who reflects on the regrets of his past decisions—adds emotional depth to the story, which is expected to inspire viewers to live more wisely. The Al-Qomariah Foundation, as the producer of this project, is committed to making this film an effective tool for public education, hoping to create a positive impact on society and shape the character of future generations.
