Abstract

Inter-provincial movement activities from Lhokseumawe to Medan are busy travel routes because land routes connect many cities. Minibusses and buses serve transportation needs across these cities. Travelers choose minibusses because of their convenience, fast travel time, and comfort. The bus mode also offers smooth and comfortable travel, making it a popular choice among travelers on the Lhokseumawe to Medan route. This research aims to determine the characteristics and percentage of transportation mode choices by travelers. The approach used is the analytical hierarchy process method. The results of the analysis showed that the percentage of travelers interested in choosing a particular mode resulted in 42% of passengers choosing the Hiace Minibus, 24% selecting the Sempati Star Bus, 20% choosing the Putra Pelangi Bus, and 14% selecting the Kurnia Bus. The criteria that influence the choice of transportation mode are convenience with a percentage of 22%, time with a percentage of 19%, comfort with a percentage of 16%, cost with a percentage of 15%, headway and safety with a percentage of 14%.

Abstract

Bus Trans Metro Deli adalah sarana transportasi umum baru yang ada di Kota Medan. Angkutan umum ini diharapkan bisa memperbaiki angkutan umum yang ada sekarang dan juga menarik orang-orang untuk beralih dari kendaraan pribadi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis standar pelayanan Bus Metro Deli dan karakteristik dengan menggunakan metode SEM. Lokasi penelitian pada lima trayek bus. Pada penelitian ini data yang digunakan pada model SEM merupakan data kuantitatif dan menggunakan estimasi maximum likelihood. Pengambilan sampel untuk penelitian ini adalah metode acak (probability sampling) sebanyak 150 orang responden. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa karakteristik pengguna bus ini mayoritas adalah perempuan dengan umur antara 17-25 tahun, mayoritas pekerjaan mahasiswa dan wiraswasta dengan frekuensi penggunaan 7 kali sebulan, dengan persetujuan penyesuaian tarif bus sebesar 81%. Berdasarkan penelitian data yang diperoleh telah memenuhi kriteria nilai absolute fit indices, Incremental fit indices dan Parsimony fit indices sehingga dapat dikatakan valid. Indeks standar pelayanan terhadap bus Metro Deli dari Keamanan sebesar 0,91 (91%), keselamatan sebesar 0,87 (87%), kenyamanan sebesar 0,62 (62%), kesetaraan dan keterjangkauan sebesar 0,91 (91%), dan keteraturan 0,84 (84%). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa para pengguna jasa merasa puas terhadap standar pelayanan dari bus Metro Deli. Ini diketahui dengan nilai konstruk yang berada diatas 50%.

Abstract

Rapid population growth has both a positive and a negative impact, such as an increase in household waste generation. This also becomes a new chain of problems in other aspects, such as health, flood, air pollution, and environmental pollution. To overcome this problem, an integrated waste management system is needed. Household waste, especially inorganic waste, was valuable. The application was developed to promote a new paradigm; waste is a new source of money. As well as help run a circular economy in the waste recycling industry. The application to be built is "WasteApp", an independent household waste management application that can track and help manage it. This application is built using the Android operating system to make it a user-friendly tool. An application trial was conducted in Geulanggang Baro village, Bireuen district involving the operator, local government, and community. This location was chosen because they already have informal waste management, and it is easier to maximize by information technology intervention. The final result of this research is the “WasteApp” application based on android to manage household waste independently. The community, operator, and local government can work waste independently and systematically through this system. This application contains several menus, including the Home menu, login, register, and the main menu, namely the waste sell history and selling waste, as well as educational articles that contain how to manage waste, from sorting waste to the recycling process. Community participation was needed to increase to full implementation of good waste management.
