Abstract

This research examines public relations practices in universities in relation to the Independent Learning and Campus (MBKM) program, emphasizing the importance of ecosystem management in strengthening institutional reputation and communication systems. The study aims to explore public relations responses to the challenges of the MBKM program through ecosystem-based governance within institutional publicity systems. The researchers employed a qualitative method with an exploratory case study approach to investigate the implementation of the MBKM program over the past two years at Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI). Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, focus group discussions, and analysis of policy documents and publications. Data credibility was ensured through triangulation, member checks, and team discussions. The findings indicate that university public relations adaptively utilize communication skills to manage both internal programs and external collaborations with businesses, industries, and student exchange programs supported by the Ministry of Education. Public information is continuously disseminated through the university’s website, social media, and other online platforms. The university's public communication system adopts a structural and cultural approach aligned with institutional regulations to support public information disclosure while enhancing the institution's academic reputation. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Tradisi Mappande manuq dalam Pernikahan Masyarakat Mandar Desa Arabua Kabupaten Polewali Mandar Perspektif Maqa>s}id al-Syari>‘ah, tafaul dan ‘Urf. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengulas pelaksanaan dan makan filosofis tradisi mappande manuq kaitannya perkawinan Mandar. (2) Mengurai implikasi tradisi mappande manuq terhadap kehidupan rumah tangga masyarakat mandar. (3) Menjelaskan perspektif Maqa>s}id al-Syari>‘ah terhdap budaya mappande manuq dalam kaitannya dengan keharmonisan keluarga Mandar.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan memberikan pertanyaan-pertanyaan, data tersebut dianalisis dan ditelaah, kemuadian dibuat abstraksi dari semua hasil wawancara. Pemilihan informan dalam penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dengan penentuan informan yang ditetapkan secara sengaja dengan kriteria tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tradisi Mappande manuq melambangkan tanggung jawab calon suami melalui penyerahan bahan pangan kepada calon istri. Ritual ini mencerminkan harmoni adat dan agama, mengajarkan nilai keadilan, gotong royong, dan komitmen. Filosofinya, wanita diibaratkan ayam yang perbuatannya harus sesuai dengan ucapannya dan membutuhkan perhatian. (2) Tradisi Mappande manuq membangun rumah tangga berlandaskan tanggung jawab, harmoni, dan kebersamaan. Tradisi ini menanamkan komitmen pasangan, memperkuat peran suami sebagai penyedia, serta menciptakan dukungan keluarga dan masyarakat. Pelibatan keluarga besar menghasilkan modal sosial yang penting bagi stabilitas dan keberlanjutan rumah tangga. (3) Tradisi Mappande manuq di Desa Arabua merepresentasikan budaya kaya nilai spiritual dan sosial. Tradisi ini melestarikan agama, jiwa, akal, keturunan, dan harta sesuai Maqasid al-Syariah. Sebagai ekspresi budaya yang selaras dengan Islam, tradisi ini memperkuat optimisme, kohesi sosial, serta dukungan emosional dan spiritual dalam kerangka al-‘urf dan tafaul.
