Abstract

Naive Bayes algorithm used to classify the best-selling product categories in e-commerce. The data used comes from a public Kaggle dataset, comprising 250,000 transactions during the 2020–2023 period. The analysis process follows the CRISP-DM model, including stages such as business understanding, data preparation, modeling, and model evaluation using a confusion matrix. Evaluation results show that the model achieved an accuracy of 92.64%, precision of 91.51%, and recall of 96.68%. The analysis revealed that the best-selling product category is Clothing, followed by Books, Electronics, and Home. This study demonstrates that the Naive Bayes algorithm can be effectively implemented to support stock management and data-driven marketing strategies in e-commerce.

Abstract

The Musi Charitas Catholic University (UKMC) Language Center administers two types of English tests: the English Proficiency Test (EPT) and EnglishScore. However, the reporting process is still conducted manually, resulting in inefficiencies, errors, and delayed academic decisions. This study aims to design a web-based dashboard system by applying the Design Thinking methodology. The approach follows five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. In the empathize phase, user interviews and User Journey Mapping were conducted. The define phase applied the RICE framework to prioritize system features. The ideation phase employed the 'How Might We' method to generate creative solutions. Prototyping was conducted using the website-based application Figma, and usability testing was performed with three internal respondents. The results indicated that the student score dashboard and account management were top-priority features, while some functionalities require improvement. This system is expected to enhance administrative efficiency and support data-driven academic policy-making at the Language Center. Tahap ideate menggunakan pendekatan How Might We untuk menghasilkan solusi kreatif.
