<![CDATA[Penelitian ini mengkaji penggunaan Symbols Movement sebagai strategi untuk merangsang gerak kreatif dalam proses penciptaan koreografi, dengan memadukan metode eksperimen dan metode semiotika. Melalui metode eksperimen, simbol diperlakukan sebagai pemicu gerakan yang dieksplorasi secara intuitif dan bebas oleh penari, mendorong terciptanya gerakan orisinal dan inovatif. Sementara itu, metode semiotika digunakan untuk menganalisis simbol sebagai tanda yang memiliki makna denotatif dan konotatif, sehingga dapat diterjemahkan ke dalam gerakan yang lebih komunikatif dan sarat makna. Kombinasi kedua metode ini memberikan keseimbangan antara kebebasan kreatif dan kedalaman analisis simbol, menghasilkan karya koreografi yang tidak hanya estetis secara visual. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa symbol movement dapat memperkaya eksplorasi gerak serta memberikan dimensi artistik yang lebih mendalam dalam penciptaan koreografi, baik dari segi proses kreatif penari maupun komunikasi pesan kepada penonton. This research examines the use of Symbols Movement as a strategy to stimulate creative movement in the process of creating choreography, by combining experimental and semiotic methods. Through the experimental method, symbols are treated as triggers for movements that are explored intuitively and freely by the dancers, encouraging the creation of original and innovative movements. Meanwhile, the semiotic method is used to analyze symbols as signs having denotative and connotative meanings, so that they can be translated into more communicative and meaningful movements. The combination of these two methods provides a balance between the creative freedom and the depth of symbol analysis, producing choreographic works which are not only visually aesthetic. The results of this research indicate that symbols movement is able to enrich movement exploration and provide a deeper artistic dimension in the creation of choreography, both in terms of the dancer's creative process and the message communication to the audience.
