Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate the impact of the green economy on economic growth. This research used a systematic, clear, and repeatable literature review methodology. This data comes from research published in scientific journals over the last ten years. As the analysis shows, the green economy has a significant positive effect on economic growth. Efficient use of resources and reduced energy costs increase economic resilience and business competitiveness and reduce the costs of environmental damage. Overall, the green economy promotes sustainable economic growth by reducing operational costs, increasing public awareness, encouraging technological innovation, strengthening supportive policies, and increasing capacity and access to natural resources.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of population growth rates and poverty on economic growth in North Sumatra Province for the 2012-2023 period. The research method used is a quantitative method. The regression analysis method is multiple linear regression using the Eviews 12 program and the data used is a time series from 2012-2023 sourced from the North Sumatra Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS SUMUT). The results of the analysis show that the variable values of population growth rate and poverty have a positive but not significant effect on economic growth in North Sumatra.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the leading and non-leading sectors in the economy of Karo Regency, to determine the sectors that have the greatest influence on Karo Regency. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data included in this study are the 2019-2023 GRDP of Karo Regency at Current Prices and the GRDP of North Sumatra. Accompanied by other secondary data that are relevant to the purpose of this writing using the LQ and Shift share analysis methods. The results of this study obtained that the leading sectors are: the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector, the transportation and warehousing sector, the accommodation and food and beverage provision sector, the government administration, defense and mandatory social security sector, the education services sector, the health services sector and social activities, and other service sectors. And the sectors that have the greatest competitiveness in Karo Regency are: the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector.
