Abstract

There is a need for evaluations to help us understand the associations found in research on special education and new media. The researcher in this study explores the role of digital media in public education, with a specific emphasis on the role of digital media in the education of students with special needs and other types of disabilities. We used qualitative studies for our investigation. Under this pedagogical framework, it will provide helpful materials for digital media teachers and students who may not be fully aware of the benefits and significance of special education in the context of digital media instruction and education. Because there aren't enough studies on the subject, the sample size for this article is 12. The special edition on digital media and educational technology-based education for children with impairments. Initially, the selected pieces were dispersed in 2020 and 2022. Information required for the review's assessment was assembled by classifying the collected data according to the review's rubric. The review is the most useful tool for this assessment since it provides the best method for arranging both large amounts of data and personal judgments. In addition to describing how instructors and library media workers may work together to address the needs of children with disabilities, this article gives an overview of both physical and digital access to the library's resources. Research conducted by specialists has shown a positive correlation between all of these biomarkers.

Abstract

The field of journalism is undergoing a fast transformation as a result of technological advancements such as new media, digital media, and artificial intelligence (AI), all of which are redefining the method in which news is collected, evaluated, and disseminated. This shift has been further hastened by the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT), which has led to the increased prevalence of data-driven and robot journalism. The purpose of this research paper is to investigate the effects that the recent advances in technology have had on journalism, with a particular emphasis on data journalism and robot journalism. We emphasize the advantages and problems of these new kinds of journalism and give insights into how journalists may effectively adapt to the changing technology environment by drawing on a thorough literature study. In addition, we highlight the benefits and challenges of these new forms of journalism.

Abstract

Over the last several years, the concept of data journalism has garnered a significant attention from academics as an innovative journalistic practice. This study investigates the effects of the use of data journalism on journalists working in Jordanian news websites. The study applied quantitative method in collecting data from a sample of one hundred journalists employed by Jordanian news websites. This study finds that the use of data journalism has significant and advantageous effects on the journalists’ performance, especially through the enhancement of the accuracy and dependability of their reporting, the improvement of their narrative aptitude, and the refinement of their skill in providing data analysis. This study also identifies some challenges that journalists should deal while engaging in the practice of data journalism, including the lack of adequate training and competency in data analysis, restricted supply and accessibility of data, and technical infrastructure of news websites.
