Abstract

Introduction. In the digital age, proficiency in digital technology, especially Microsoft Word, is an important skill for students to improve their academic and professional competence. To meet this need, a Microsoft Word training programme was implemented at SMA Islamiyah Weru Lor. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the training in improving students' skills in utilising Microsoft Word features, including mail merge. Method. The training was conducted through three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. During the preparation stage, training needs were identified, and relevant materials were developed. The implementation stage employed a blended learning approach, combining theoretical explanations with hands-on practice to ensure students could effectively apply their knowledge. The evaluation stage was conducted through a post-training questionnaire to measure skill improvement. Results and Discussion. The results showed a significant improvement in students' abilities, with an average score of 3.77 out of 5, categorised as ‘good. The discussion highlighted that practical training methods contributed to a deeper understanding and more effective application of Microsoft Word tools. Additionally, the mail merge feature, which was previously unfamiliar to most participants, was successfully mastered by the majority. Conclusion. In conclusion, this training effectively improved students' digital literacy in the use of Microsoft Word. Future programmes should include more advanced features and longer training sessions to achieve a higher level of competence. The success of this initiative highlights the importance of structured digital skills training in educational institutions.

Abstract

Cempaka Village is one of the villages located in Talun District, Cirebon Regency. The livelihood of the people of Cempaka Village is mostly to become laborers and farmers. However, there are also businesses such as grocery stores, street vendors, and home-based businesses. UMKM in Cempaka Village, Talun Regency itself show significant potential for the local economy. Candied mango is one of the products made by the people of Cempaka Village which is fairly capable of producing in large quantities and already has a fairly wide market share. However, in this case, mango candied UMKM still use conventional marketing which makes less widespread information and has not maximized the development of the digital era. One of the efforts made is to empower the importance of digitalization in mango candied UMKM in Cempaka village, namely by expanding access to information and marketing through making points on Google Maps and E-Commerce with the aim of increasing the marketing competitiveness of mango candied products.

Abstract

Community service activities in Wanasaba Lor Village, Talun District, Cirebon Regency, aim to develop the social and cognitive sensitivity of lecturers and students and support the acceleration of development. This village is located in the lowlands with a dense population. This community service activity involves dividing the areas of two hamlets, namely Hamlet 1 and Hamlet 2, with a total of 20 RTs and 5 RWs. This village is located approximately 3.2 km from the sub-district and 2.4 km from the Cirebon district government center. Administratively, Wanasaba Lor Village is included in the semi-urban village category. Community service organizers chose Wanasaba Lor Village as the practice site, and a site inspection and communication with the village head was carried out to ensure agreement and support in realizing the development and welfare of the local community.
