Abstract

Poverty is a complex problem, the impact of poverty spreading to various aspects of life. Poverty is a phenomenon and a fact that has not been able to be resolved well since then. Such conditions need to be seen from the perspective of the Koran, how the Koran explains the problem of poverty. This paper is a qualitative research based on library research. This research uses the interpretation approach of maqashidi, where the basic principle is maqashid al-Qur'an and maqashid al-Shari'ah. The results of this study include; First, poverty is a state that will always exist, among its aims to balance the rich people as a form of social care and so that someone tries more to improve their quality of life. Secondly, attention paid to poverty is a form of contributing to islah al-Mujtama’, islah al-fard, hifz al-din, hidz al-mal, hifz al-nasl, dan hifz al-nafs.
