Abstract

Tenun ikat Bandar merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan produk kreatif yang telah melegenda di kota kediri dan telah tersebar secara nasional hingga internasional. Tingginya intensitas persaingan industry kain tenun terutama yang diproduksi dari buatan pabrik serta kendala efisiensi dan relativitas yang cenderung rendah dalam pengembangan usaha menjadi ancaman eksistensi tenun ikat bandar. Melalui metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi yang terjadi pada pelaku industry kreatif tenun ikat bandar ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Strategi inovasi Tenun Ikat Bandar dilakukan dengan meningkatkan kualitas, citra perusahaan, ragam motif, warna, dan pengetahuan serta keterampilan pengrajin. Namun focus inovasi produk dengan mengembangkan ragam motif (unik dan eksklusif) serta peningkatan keragaman warna kain. Selain itu, tantangan inovasi produk yakni faktor hukum mengenai perlindungan Hak Cipta maupun faktor non hukum mengenai sumber daya manusia (SDM), teknologi produksi, dan pemasaran. Diperlukan Upaya dari pemerintah kota kediri untuk membantu menciptakan iklim yang kondusif untuk mendorong keunggulan bersaing tenun ikat bandar kota kediri.
