Abstract

Indonesia's influence on foreign culture has had an impact, one of which is in terms of appearance or fashion. Lots of young people today are affected by inappropriate dress styles or even the impression that they are excessively ornate. In Islam, ornate is not something that is prohibited as long as it is not done excessively or what is commonly known as At-Tabarruj. At-Tabarruj is one of the things that is forbidden by Allah for Muslim women. Mufassir say that tabarruj behavior brings harm, including being able to arouse lust for men. Through this search, women are positioned as slander for men. In fact, what is seen and has happened, men also have the same potential and can become slander for women. This research is a library research that aims to interpret the meaning of At-Tabarruj in the perspective of Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir's Qira'ah Mubadalah. The results of this study explain that in Qira'ah Mubadalahh, At-Tabarruj can also be interpreted as the behavior of men who show off the beauty of their bodies so that they can arouse the lust of women and men who have tabarruj will also get rewarded with sins for doing things that prohibited by Allah. Regarding the reward for sin itself, it does not look at women or men because if he does something that is forbidden by God, he will get a reward regardless of gender.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Surah Al-Fatihah in the daily worship of Muslims, focusing on the interpretations of the classical scholar Ibn Katsir and the contemporary scholar Wahbah Zuhaili. As the first chapter of the Qur’an, Al-Fatihah is not only an integral part of prayer but also encompasses spiritual and social dimensions that enrich the quality of worship and strengthen harmony within society. This research integrates classical and contemporary perspectives to present a synthesis relevant to the challenges of the modern era. Using a library research method and a comparative thematic tafsir approach, it analyzes Ibn Katsir’s tafsir bil-ma’tsur, which emphasizes the blessings of Basmalah, Divine justice, and sincerity in supplication, alongside Wahbah Zuhaili’s combination of bi al-ma’tsur and bi ar-ra’yi methods, which focus on monotheism (tauhid), reliance on Allah (tawakkal), and prayer as a spiritual solution. The findings reveal that Surah Al-Fatihah serves as a guide that integrates ritual, spiritual, and social dimensions, fostering profound awareness of tawhid, encouraging individual moral transformation, and creating community harmony based on Qur’anic values. In conclusion, Surah Al-Fatihah is not only foundational for ritual worship but also serves as an ethical and practical guide to enhancing worship motivation, fostering moral development, and building a harmonious and civilized society amidst modern challenges.

Abstract

Single moms face the dual challenge of raising children while managing other responsibilities, necessitating an approach rooted in moral and spiritual values. This study aims to explore Qur’an-based principles of child education for single moms through a thematic analysis of Maryam’s story. The research focuses on the moral, spiritual, and educational values embedded in the story and their implementation in raising children amidst these dual challenges. The study employs a library research method with a thematic exegesis (tafsir maudhu’i) approach, using primary data from Qur’anic verses related to Maryam’s story and secondary data from exegesis texts, academic literature, and scholarly articles. The findings reveal that Maryam’s story teaches the significance of steadfast faith, moral exemplarity, and a balance between effort and reliance on God in child-rearing. These values inspire single moms to nurture children with resilience and faith while maintaining family harmony. The study underscores the relevance of Qur’anic principles in modern contexts, particularly in addressing social and economic challenges. It is expected to serve as a practical guide for single moms and a reference for academics and Islamic educational institutions in developing educational models based on Qur’anic values.
