Abstract

The study focuses on evaluating the influence of the adoption of technological advancement on supply chain management in Selected Nigerian Brewery Plc, South-East Zone Nigeria. The research employed a survey design and questionnaire as instruments for data collection. The total population of the study comprised 2,100 staff of the organization. Taro Yamane method was used to estimate the sample size which produced a result of 336. A proportionate allocation formula was applied in the distribution of the survey in the following states: River State, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Delta, and Edo State, Nigeria.  Out of 336 copies of a questionnaire sent to the participants, only 321 were returned and utilized for the study while the remaining 15 copies were not utilized for this study. The study hypotheses were statistically tested and analyzed using Pearson correlation methods at a 5% significance level. The findings of research hypothesis one indicates that artificial intelligence (AI) adoption positively contributes to supply chain visibility (SCV) when the p-value (.000) is less than a 5 % level of significance (p < 0.05). The researcher recommends that businesses should create a demand forecast based on using historic sales to meet customer demands. Management of the Nigerian Brewery Plc should continue to invest in advanced technologies such as AI and IoT to further enhance supply chain operations. This will help maintain a competitive edge in the market by improving efficiency and reducing costs. This study adds to the body of knowledge by presenting data on the beneficial effects of technology improvements on supply chain management in the Nigerian brewery industry. The study would guide the Nigerian government to implement e-government, and e-health services to citizens.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) in Nigerian firms, with a particular focus on the financial sector and mobile network operators. The primary objective is to examine how BPR contributes to enhancing organizational efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction, service delivery, quality, and continuous improvement. By restructuring business processes through innovative strategies and tools, BPR aims to significantly improve organizational performance. The study adopts a systematic literature review approach, analysing peer-reviewed articles and case studies related to Nigerian financial institutions and mobile service providers. Key sections include an overview of BPR, the tools and techniques employed, the application of Business Action Theory, and the measurable impact of BPR on organizational operations. Through the synthesis of existing literature, the research explores the transformative potential of BPR in terms of operational efficiency, market innovation, and strategic expansion. Findings reveal that BPR has a significant positive impact on Nigerian organizations by fostering better resource utilization, streamlined workflows, and enhanced service delivery. Case studies demonstrate successful implementation in both sectors, where organizations witnessed increased competitiveness and customer satisfaction. The study concludes that BPR holds substantial potential in revolutionizing Nigerian financial and telecommunications sectors by creating pathways for innovation and growth. It recommends that firms adopt strategic planning, ensure optimal resource allocation, and promote change initiatives through sustained leadership and organizational commitment. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for practitioners and scholars and suggests directions for future research in emerging markets.

Abstract

The general objective of this research delves into workplace technology adoption and organizational change in the selected Nigerian Customs Service, South-South Zone. The specific objective is to assess the level of the relationship between digital literacy and employee engagement. The study used a correlational survey design and questionnaire to collect data. The total population of the study comprised 565 employees. The sample size was determined statistically using the Taro Yamane formula and calculated as 234. A proportional allocation formula determines the number of surveys for each stratum- River, Bayelsa, Edo, Akwa Ibom, and Delta State, Nigeria.  Out of 234 copies of a questionnaire sent to the participants, only 205 were returned and utilized for the study while the remaining 29 copies were not used. The hypotheses were statistically tested and analyzed using Pearson correlation methods at a 5% significance level. The findings of the research hypothesis revealed that digital literacy level (skills) positively correlates with employee engagement. This result confirms a positive result with the value of (p= .000, r = .991, N = 205).  The researcher recommends that organizations should increase investment in continuous technological upgrades. The Nigerian Customs Services should prioritize continuous investment in modern technologies that align with global best practices. These include blockchain for trade transparency, AI-powered analytics, and IoT for real-time tracking of goods. Regular training programs should be implemented to enhance staff digital literacy and ensure the smooth adoption of new technologies. Training should focus not only on technical skills but also on change management to overcome resistance.
