Abstract

Abstract: The goal of this reseach is to describe the formation or planting of character of Christiancharacter, namely the love character of worship and love of God’s word (Holy Bible), the honestycharacter, love character, brave, responsible, etc. As the learning goal of christian subjects andcharacter at Pelita Harapan elementary school Pontianak in specific goal and character educationin general. Observation, documentary study and interviev are the data collection techniques done inthis inquiry. Based on the data gained then can be figured out that the formation or planting ofChristian character to students through some routine, consistent and regular classroom activities,such as 1. “Lets worship”, 2. “Become a star”, 3.”“Lets go to the church and 2. “Who is afraid ofserving” results the expected character in accordance with the determined competencies.Keywords: Christian character; formation of christian character; students’ characterAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembentukan/penanaman karakter Kristenyaitu karakter suka beribadah dan karakter cinta firman Tuhan (Alkitab), karakter jujur, karakterkasih, berani, bertanggungjawab, dll. sebagai tujuan pembelajaran dari mata pelajaran PendidikanAgama Kristen dan Budi Pekerti di SD Pelita Harapan Pontianak secara khusus dan tujuanpembelajaran dari pendidikan karakter secara umum. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tehnikpengamatan (observasi), pencermatan dokumen/pencatatan dan wawancara. Berdasarkan data yangdiperoleh dapat diketahui bahwa dalam pembentukan/menanamkan karakter kristen berupa, karaktersuka beribadah dan karakter cinta firman Tuhan, karakter jujur, karakter kasih pada siswa yangdilakukan dengan pembiasaan-pembiasaan melalui berbagai kegiatan, yaitu: Kegiatan rutin yangdilakukan secara terus-menerus dan konsisten setiap hari berupa: 1. “Ayo Beribadah”, 2. “JadiBintang” 3. “Kantin Kejujuran” dan kegiatan pengkondisian berupa 1. “Ayo ke Gereja”, dan 2“Siapa Takut Melayani” menghasilkan karakter yang diharapkan sesuai dengan kompetensi yangtelah ditetapkan.Kata kunci: karakter Kristen; karakter siswa; pembentukan karakter kristen

Abstract

Abtract: The treatment should be done by church as organization which accomodate spirituality activity accordance to Lord Jesus teachings because congregational members also as church members which is in out of line condition of the truth of God’s word andtother various pressures. As person who break government rules and undergo a life as prisoner with limited right he should be treated in order to realize his faults and may undergo life accordance to government regulation, and especially to the truth of God’s Word. The treatment to church members at jail not only including spirituality activity, however also the treatment to all aspects of the human themselves. This research describes the implementation to congregational members including the faith treatment, mental and skills treatment. The problems analyzed relate to the implementation of the treatment forms to congregational members such as the faith treatment, mental and skills treatment to church members at prison class IIA Pontianak. This is a descriptive study using observation, interview, and documentation. The outcome of this congregational members treatment is able to increase the spirituality of the knowledge of god and God’s word, able to increase mental and self-confidence, and increase the income of their work, also increase the society support to christian prisoners at class IIA prison in Pontianak.
