Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that cause fluctuations in the supply of basic necessities at Toko Ijo, Sangatta, East Kalimantan, throughout 2023. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, which aims to comprehensively examine changes in the level of supply of basic necessities. Research data was obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation to explore information about goods ordering policies, sales strategies, and challenges faced in stock management. The results of the study show that fluctuations in the supply of basic necessities at Toko Ijo are influenced by internal and external factors. External factors include the harvest season, seasonal demand during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, as well as the availability of supply from distributors. Meanwhile, internal factors include stock management and store operating costs. Data analysis shows that there is a fluctuating trend in the supply of goods, especially rice, throughout the year. The decline in supply occurred in the first quarter due to the famine season, while the increase occurred in the second quarter in line with the harvest season and a surge in demand ahead of Ramadan. The third quarter showed a decline again, while the fourth quarter tended to be stable and increased ahead of the year-end holidays.

Abstract

This research analyses a hypothetical scenario of an inflation surge to 17% at the onset of Prabowo Subianto's administration in Indonesia in 2025, highlighting a significant economic challenge following a period of inflation stability. The study aims to identify potential causes such as Rupiah depreciation, expansive fiscal policies, supply chain disruptions, global commodity price volatility, and erosion of market confidence, as well as to analyse their impacts on purchasing power, borrowing costs, socio-political stability, and international competitiveness. A descriptive-analytical approach combining qualitative and quantitative methods based on secondary data was employed. The results indicate that a combination of these factors would lead to detrimental economic and social consequences, necessitating robust policy responses. Various policy responses are explored, including monetary tightening, fiscal consolidation, foreign exchange interventions, supply-side policies, and communication strategies. This research presents strategic recommendations based on data analysis and expert insights to navigate inflationary pressures, for the sake of Indonesia's sustainable economic stability and growth.

Abstract

The role of youth in village development is very important, both in terms of participation in program formulation/musyrembangdes, as well as control over policies. Manunggal Jaya Village, as a developed village, has not seen the participation of youth in its development. The most dominant factor behind this problem is human resources (youth) who do not yet understand their strategic role as youth and a low level of awareness and ability to empower them. The aim of this community service is to analyze the problems faced by youth, then determine the right strategy to overcome them. The strategies used include SWOT analysis and conducting education/training regarding leadership, managerial and strategies for influencing other people.
