Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop ICT (Information and Communication Technology) based educational media in the field of agribusiness for use with high school students. Given the ongoing decline in student interest in the agricultural sector, this research aims to develop an attractive, informative, and technologically advanced media platform that will engage and educate young people about this important field. The methodology employed is that of research and development (R&D), utilizing the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: The phases of the research process are as follows: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected via questionnaires, expert validation, and trials involving students and teachers. The results demonstrated that the developed media exhibited a high degree of validity, with material validation scores reaching 91% and media validation reaching 88%. These findings indicate substantial approval from experts and users. The ICT-based media successfully incorporates interactive elements and multimedia content, thereby facilitating comprehension of agribusiness concepts and enhancing their appeal to students. The findings indicate that this media has the potential to serve as an effective instrument for fostering student interest in agribusiness and enhancing the quality of education in this domain. Further refinements are recommended to optimize the effectiveness of the media and enhance user engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students' perceptions of the use of Google Translate in learning English as a foreign language (EFL). In the context of globalization and digitalization, digital translation tools such as Google Translate have become an important component in the language learning process. Qualitative research methods are used to obtain an in-depth understanding of how students at STAI Nurul Islam Mojokerto, English Language Education Study Program view the effectiveness and usefulness of Google Translate. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with 50 students from semesters V and VII. The results showed that students often used Google Translate to facilitate text comprehension and complete assignments, but also had concerns about accuracy and reliance on the tool. These findings indicate that while Google Translate offers convenience and efficiency, its use needs to be balanced with authentic language practice to avoid a negative impact on the development of deep language skills. This research provides important insights into how digital translation technology affects the language learning experience and suggests the need for adjustments in teaching methods to optimize the use of translation tools in English learning.

Abstract

Pengangguran di kalangan pemuda saat ini bisa diatasi dengan program kewirausahaan untuk mereka. Meskipun demikian, tidak sedikit lulusan berminat membuka usaha, dan salah satu hambatannya adalah kebutuhan modal yang besar untuk memulainya. Oleh karena itu, dalam rangka membangun motivasi belajar berwirausaha bagi mereka, maka diperlukan kegiatan berupa workshop entrepreneur. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh peserta didik kelas 10 SMK UBP Nurul Islam Mojokerto Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024. Mereka sedang memasuki usia produktif, sehingga harus dipersiapkan untuk menghadapi peluang dan tantangan berwirausaha di masa yang akan datang. Santri tidak hanya identik dengan praktik ibadah (kaum sarungan), melainkan sanggup masuk dan menjadi pelopor di dunia kewirausahaan. Metode pelaksanaan workshop meliputi 3 (tiga) tahap, yaitu 1) Pre-test; 2) Ceramah, diskusi, dan praktikum; 3) Post-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perubahan yang signifikan, yaitu terdapat peningkatan minat peserta didik sebesar 36%, di mana hasil pre-test adalah 56% berubah menjadi 92% yang berminat berwirausaha setelah dilaksanakan workshop entrepreneur. Dengan demikian, kegiatan workshop entrepreneur ini berhasil meningkatkan motivasi belajar bagi peserta didik dalam berwirausaha.
