Abstract

This research aimed to the students' learning components with the psychodynamic approach by identifying the students perceive the psychodynamic approach in learning English, how students implement the psychodynamic approach in learning English, and how students' implementation of the psychodynamic approach impacts the students' English learning achievement. This research occurred in SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa, Gowa, and employed qualitative research methods with the observation checklist and semi-structured interview instruments. The participants of the research are six students in the VIII grade. The result of the research concluded that the subconscious mind of students plays a fundamental role in shaping their attitudes toward learning. Student perceptions of learning English indicate that it is difficult, leading to two significant outcomes: motivation and a lack of self-efficacy. This perception also impacts their learning achievements, as the ineffective classroom learning process prevents students from mobilizing their mental energy to perform cognitive functions effectively.

Abstract

An energy audit at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Gowa was conducted to evaluate the efficiency of electricity consumption and identify potential energy savings in daily school operations. The methods included a preliminary energy audit involving annual energy consumption data collection and calculation of Energy Consumption Intensity (ECI), as well as a detailed audit of the lighting system. The results showed that the school building was categorized as efficient, with an initial ECI value of 0.701 kWh/m²/month. However, several rooms were found to have lighting levels below the standard, prompting the addition of energy-saving LED lamps. After these improvements, the ECI increased to 1.39 kWh/m²/month but remained within the efficient category. This audit demonstrates that improving lighting quality can be achieved without sacrificing overall energy efficiency and provides concrete recommendations for school energy management to support sustainable energy efficiency and environmental preservation

Abstract

Energy consumption management in schools is an important aspect of efficiency and operational cost control efforts. This study analyses daily load dynamics and identifies opportunities for load shifting at SMK Negeri 4 Gowa based on data on device usage duration and installed power in each functional room. The data is converted into hourly energy consumption to form a daily load curve. The analysis results show that there is a peak load during core activity hours, triggered by the simultaneous operation of high-power equipment such as air conditioners, lights, and computers. Consumption patterns also indicate potential inefficiencies due to uncontrolled device usage that does not take into account actual room conditions. This study offers an energy management strategy in the form of load shifting, which is carried out by redistributing the use of certain devices to off-peak hours without disrupting learning activities. In addition, changes in user behaviour and device operation settings can significantly reduce monthly energy consumption. Thus, the data-based energy management approach applied in this study can provide real energy and cost savings and support the creation of a more efficient and sustainable school environment.
