Abstract

This paper uses the perspective of Islamic psychotherapy examine the development of science and technology in its influence on the changes in adolescent life based on the values of the Qur?an and the Hadith. This research was conducted at MTs Negeri 4 Tulungagung by making student learning activities as the object of research studies. Islamic education is carried out with a spirituality approach through pray, exemplary, patience and sincerity, motivating advice and supervision. Islamic psychotherapy teaches ways to manage mind, verbal, heart and morals of adolescents from physical and spiritual illnesses thatcan be detrimental. First, read the Qur?an as an obligatory routine. Second, prayers in congregation and sunnah prayers. Third, creating a religious and knowledgeable environment. Fourth, fasting Monday and Thursday. This method can develop adolescents to be devoted and knowledgeable man beings, so that adolescents are able to maintain self-integrity, integrity of the soul and achieve self-actualization well.

Abstract

This paper uses the perspective of Islamic psychotherapy to examine the development of science and technology and its influence on the changes in adolescent life based on the values of the Qur’an and the Hadi>th. It particularly addresses the practice of Islamic counseling at an Islamic Junior Middle-School, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri/MTsN 4. This article further argues the applicability of Islamic Psychotherapy as a model of overcoming crisis among the students through religious activities. Islamic psychotherapy dictates students to manage mind, emotion and ethics as well as to distance themselves from religiously unlawful acts. A series of collective Islamic rituals performed by students is crucial as a way to cultivate collective belongings, to maintain self-integrity, integrity of the soul and to achieve self-actualization.

Abstract

This study probes the representation of gender in the motifs and literary arts of Èṣù, a revered figure in Yorùbá culture. It argues that gender representations in human beings are equally found in Èṣù literary arts. The paper observes that gender representation in Èṣù motifs vis-a-vis its literary arts have semiotic implications in the Yorùbá worldview. It also understudies the interplay between Èṣù motifs and its orature as reflected in human life. The study employs the theoretical framework of the semiotics of Ferdinand de Saussure of 1974 and the gender of Goffman of 1977-1978 to analyze, describe, and interpret the sign portraying gender in Èṣù motifs and literary arts. Through a semiotic analysis, we uncover the symbolic meanings and gendered connotations embedded in Èṣù's iconography and literary depictions. This study reveals that Èṣù's motifs and literary arts perpetuate and challenge traditional gender roles, reflecting the complexities of Yorùbá gender dynamics. By applying Saussure's semiotic theory and Goffman's gender framework, we demonstrate how Èṣù's gender representation influences human gender structure and cultural identity. This study contributes to our understanding of gender representation in African cultural heritage, highlighting the significance of Èṣù's motifs and literary arts as a reflection of human experience.

Abstract

Many students suffered stress when worked the thesis. In this research, researcher used SEFT to reduce college student’s thesis stress. The Problem in this research was how much influence and effectiveness percentage of SEFT. This research was experimental research that was done UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung by 10 samples (5 respondents in experimental group and 5 respondents in control group). Based on the count results of Mann Whitney with p-value=0,009 and á=0,05 showed experimental group and control group had difference significant (p-value < á). Whereas, the count results Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with p-value=0,042 and á=0,05 showed that SEFT was effective in reducing college student’s thesis stres (p-value < á). In addition, the count results of effectiveness percentage SEFT used Sumbangan Efektif Regresi Linier produced 88,3% so that the effectiveness level of SEFT was as many of 88,3%.
