Abstract

The study aims to analyze the hadiths associated with the LGBT phenomenon and to identify preventive efforts that can be taken to address this problem among modern Muslims. The research method used is a qualitative approach to data collection techniques through library study. The hadiths analyzed include Islamic views on LGBT behavior and related sanctions. In addition, the study also reviews preventive measures that have been implemented in various Muslim communities to deal with this phenomenon, including religious education, counselling, and rehabilitation programmes. The findings show that a deep understanding of LGBT-related hadiths as well as a holistic and empathic approach to religious education and guidance can help reduce the prevalence of the LGBT behavior among modern Muslims. This research is expected to contribute to the development of effective strategies in tackling the LGBT phenomenon in accordance with the teachings of Islam

Abstract

This article aims to examine the system of isnad in Jewish and Islamic traditions, specifically focusing on the isnad of Mishnah and the isnad of Hadith. The author employs a literature review approach with a comparative analysis to explore the similarities and differences between these two traditions in terms of the definition, significance, authority, and historical development of isnad. The author finds that the system of isnad in Mishnah and Hadith shares a common historical foundation, which is to preserve the authenticity and authority of religious teachings passed down orally from generation to generation. However, the isnad system in Hadith is more complex and methodological compared to the isnad system in Mishnah, as it involves various classifications, criticisms, and evaluations of the isnad and the content of the Hadith. The author also highlights that the isnad system in Mishnah and Hadith plays a significant role in shaping the identity, law, and teachings of Judaism and Islam. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sistem sanad dalam tradisi Yahudi dan Islam, khususnya pada sanad Mishnah dan sanad Hadis. Penulis menggunakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan analisis perbandingan untuk meneliti kesamaan dan perbedaan antara kedua tradisi tersebut dalam hal definisi, urgensi, otoritas, dan sejarah perkembangan sanad. Penulis menemukan bahwa sistem sanad dalam Mishnah dan Hadis memiliki akar sejarah yang sama, yaitu sebagai sarana untuk menjaga keaslian dan otoritas ajaran agama yang diturunkan secara lisan dari generasi ke generasi. Namun, sistem sanad dalam Hadis lebih kompleks dan metodologis daripada sistem sanad dalam Mishnah, karena adanya berbagai macam klasifikasi, kritik, dan evaluasi terhadap sanad dan matan hadis. Penulis juga menunjukkan bahwa sistem sanad dalam Mishnah dan Hadis memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan identitas, hukum, dan ajaran Yahudi dan Islam.
