Abstract

The 21st century is marked by the advancement of science and technology, driving increasingly complex changes in life. In the context of education, a multidisciplinary learning approach has become relevant in enhancing students' complex thinking abilities. This approach allows students to integrate various disciplines in solving existing problems, thereby improving their critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills. This study explores the relationship between multidisciplinary learning and students' complex thinking abilities, the factors influencing its implementation effectiveness, and effective multidisciplinary learning strategies. Based on previous research, multidisciplinary learning has been proven to enhance complex thinking skills by up to 35% compared to conventional learning methods. However, its implementation faces several challenges, including a lack of teacher readiness, limited resources, and a learning culture that still emphasizes rote memorization. Therefore, problem-based learning strategies, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the use of technology are recommended to improve the effectiveness of this approach.

Abstract

Pelayangan Village, located on the banks of the Batang Hari River, faces challenges in religious understanding, particularly regarding prayer and fasting. Many people experience confusion in understanding what breaks the fast, such as using certain drugs or physical actions that do not break the fast. In addition, several issues of ikhtilaf related to the pillars of prayer, including differences in movements and recitations that often confuse performing prayer correctly. STAI As-Sunnah's Community Service program provides assistance during Ramadan to improve the community's religious understanding. This activity involves religious guidance, including Qur'anic studies, flash pesantren, tahsin training, and delivering short lectures after tarawih prayers. Using participatory action research (PAR) methodology, this program succeeded in increasing religious knowledge, strengthening friendships, and improving community worship practices. The positive impact of this program can be seen in the community's enthusiasm for participating in various religious activities, especially during the month of Ramadan. The results of this service show that PAR-based religious assistance can effectively improve the quality of life and religious understanding in rural communities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the school environment on the learning outcomes of ninth-grade students in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at SMP IT Hafizhan Al-Irsyad Tanjung Morawa, Deli Serdang. The study employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto research design. The variables examined were the school environment as the independent variable (X) and PAI learning outcomes as the dependent variable (Y). Data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of 22 items and observations of 25 students in the sample, using a saturated sampling technique. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive analysis and simple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that the significance value of 0.632 is greater than 0.05, meaning there is no significant influence of the school environment on student learning outcomes. The regression equation obtained is Y = 89.534 - 0.048X, indicating a negative relationship between the two variables, although the influence is not significant. The calculated t-value of -0.399 is also smaller than the critical t-value of 1.713, so the null hypothesis (H₀) is accepted and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that the school environment does not significantly affect the PAI learning outcomes of ninth-grade students at that school. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan sekolah terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IX pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP IT Hafizhan Al-Irsyad Tanjung Morawa, Deli Serdang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Variabel yang dikaji adalah lingkungan sekolah sebagai variabel bebas (X) dan hasil belajar PAI sebagai variabel terikat (Y). Data dikumpulkan melalui angket sebanyak 22 butir pernyataan dan observasi terhadap 25 siswa yang menjadi sampel, dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,632 lebih besar dari 0,05, yang berarti tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara lingkungan sekolah terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Persamaan regresi yang diperoleh yaitu Y = 89,534 - 0,048X, menunjukkan hubungan negatif antara kedua variabel, meskipun pengaruhnya tidak signifikan. Nilai t hitung sebesar -0,399 juga lebih kecil dari t tabel sebesar 1,713, sehingga hipotesis nol (H₀) diterima dan hipotesis alternatif (Hₐ) ditolak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa lingkungan sekolah tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar PAI siswa kelas IX di sekolah tersebut.
