Abstract

Detection of microorganisms is of particular importance to human health and life, and for the industry in general. For this reason, we want this process to be as fast and precise as possible. We also expect that the automation of this activity (detection of microorganisms) can be widely used in various industries. This article is another attempt to the classification of bacteria  that uses a deep learning approach with Residual Neural Network(ResNet) models. The research was conducted by training the ResNet-18,ResNet-34, ResNet50 and ResNet-101 models. The results show that the ResNet-50 and ResNet-101 are the best learning model. It is better to use ResNet-50 than ResNet-101 because of the faster training time. While the results of the research also show that the architecture with the least number of layers is the fastest learning model.  ResNet-50 has an accuracy rate of 96.1% with a training time of 451 seconds is the best learning model. ResNet-18 has an accuracy rate of 93.6% with a training time of 185 seconds is the fastest learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to understand how visual communication in digital environmental information systems contributes to the development of ecological awareness among the Medan Sunggal community. This study focuses on the phenomenon of communication of meaning construction through visual elements in digital platforms used to disseminate environmental information. A qualitative research design was used by conducting in-depth interviews with community members and analyzing the visual content of digital environmental information systems, including infographics, symbols, color usage, and visual narratives. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns in user interpretation, understanding, and perceived relevance of visual communication. The results show that visual elements that reflect local context, simplicity, and symbolic clarity play an important role in enhancing message comprehension and fostering ecological awareness. Digital environmental information systems function not only as information providers but also as communicative spaces where visual design mediates public understanding of environmental issues. This study is limited to a specific local environment and does not measure long-term behavioral outcomes, suggesting that future research should examine the impact of behavior or comparative cultural contexts. The originality of this study lies in its focus on local visual communication practices in digital environmental information systems, which offers valuable insights into applied communication strategies that integrate cultural context and visual meaning-making to support environmental awareness initiatives.

Abstract

Judicial outcome analysis has attracted growing attention within legal artificial intelligence research; however, empirical studies focusing on Indonesian court decisions remain limited. This study presents an experimental evaluation of traditional machine learning and deep learning models for judicial outcome classification using Indonesian legal texts. The experiments were conducted on a curated dataset of 4,872 court decisions obtained from the official Direktori Putusan Mahkamah Agung Republik Indonesia (2018–2023). To prevent outcome leakage, all explicit ruling sections were removed prior to model training, and only the legal reasoning segments were used as input. Several models, including Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, Gradient Boosting, BiLSTM, and IndoBERT, were evaluated under identical experimental settings. The results show that ensemble-based methods, particularly Gradient Boosting, achieve strong and stable performance, while deep learning models demonstrate competitive but not consistently superior results under document length constraints. Error analysis indicates that misclassifications frequently arise from implicit judicial reasoning and outcome ambiguity. This study provides an empirical benchmark for judicial outcome classification in Indonesian courts and highlights methodological limitations related to document length, labeling granularity, and reproducibility in legal NLP research.

Abstract

Village administrative services play a crucial role in supporting effective governance and responsive public service delivery. However, many village administrations still manage correspondence manually, resulting in inefficiencies, data duplication, limited document accessibility, and delays in administrative services. This community service activity aims to improve village administrative efficiency through the implementation of a Correspondence Management Information System in Namorambe Village. The activity was conducted using several stages, including problem identification and needs assessment, system design and development, system implementation, and training for village officials. The developed system facilitates the digital management of incoming and outgoing correspondence, document archiving, search functions, and administrative reporting in a centralized database. Training and hands-on assistance were provided to ensure that village officials were able to operate and manage the system independently. The results of the implementation indicate a significant improvement in the efficiency of administrative processes, particularly in reducing the time required to manage and retrieve correspondence documents. In addition, the accuracy and security of administrative data improved due to structured digital storage. Village officials also demonstrated increased digital competence and readiness to adopt information technology in daily administrative tasks. Overall, this community service activity demonstrates that the utilization of a correspondence management information system can effectively support village administrative efficiency and contribute to the digital transformation of village governance. The system has the potential to be sustainably adopted and replicated in other villages with similar administrative challenges.

Abstract

The rapid escalation of global cyber threats has placed critical digital infrastructure at the center of national security concerns. Critical digital infrastructure - including financial systems, energy networks, telecommunications, healthcare platforms, and government information systems - has become increasingly vulnerable to sophisticated cyber attacks that transcend national borders. This study was undertaken to examine the adequacy of national legal frameworks in protecting critical digital infrastructure in the contemporary cyber threat environment. The research addresses a significant legal problem: the growing gap between the pace of technological advancement and the capacity of existing legal regimes to effectively prevent, mitigate, and respond to large-scale cyber threats. By building upon existing scholarship on cybersecurity law and critical infrastructure protection, this study seeks to provide a systematic legal analysis of national strategies and regulatory approaches in the digital era. This research employs a normative juridical method combined with a doctrinal legal analysis. Primary legal materials include national cybersecurity statutes, regulations on critical infrastructure protection, data protection laws, and relevant international legal instruments. Secondary materials consist of academic literature, policy reports, and comparative legal studies on cybersecurity governance. A comparative approach is used to examine selected national legal frameworks and identify common regulatory patterns, institutional arrangements, and enforcement mechanisms. The study also analyzes policy documents and official guidelines to assess how legal norms are translated into operational cybersecurity strategies. The findings indicate that while many states have adopted legal frameworks recognizing critical digital infrastructure as a strategic national asset, significant inconsistencies remain in regulatory scope, institutional coordination, and enforcement capacity. Most national frameworks emphasize preventive measures, such as risk assessment and incident reporting obligations, but lack comprehensive legal mechanisms for cross-sector coordination and international cooperation. The research confirms that existing laws partially address cybersecurity risks but are often reactive rather than anticipatory, limiting their effectiveness against rapidly evolving global cyber threats. The originality of this study lies in its integrated legal analysis of national cybersecurity frameworks through the lens of critical digital infrastructure protection. By linking legal norms, institutional design, and strategic objectives, the research contributes to a deeper understanding of how law can function as a proactive instrument of cyber resilience. The findings offer practical insights for policymakers and legal scholars and suggest future research directions, including the harmonization of national laws and the development of transnational legal mechanisms for critical infrastructure protection
